If I'm using an SMG, I just use the same class, but replace Perk 1 with Marathon Pro.

I tried more assault rifles, ditched the m16 and settled on this:

Primary:
FAL - Silencer and ACOG scope
(if you can stand iron sights, use a heartbeat sensor)
*** Another EXTREMELY important thing about the FAL is that if you use iron sites + hearbeat sensor, you can see the ENTIRE heartbeat sensor while aiming down the sights. One of the only guns like this. I loved it and had a hard time deciding, but ultimately put back the ACOG. Because with a stealth class, you can take your time and actually use the heartbeat sensor in conjunction with the minimap and pretty much always get the drop on people.

Secondary:
Raffica with Red Dot Sight and Silencer.

Perks:
Bling
Cold-Blooded
Ninja

Deathstreak:
whatever, don't see it much anymore anyway

I also tried the SCAR and TAR. They are good (especially the TAR, it just feels powerful but I can't find stats to actually back that up) but they aren't great for long range. You have to be extremely gentle with the tapping to do so. M16 is better in that case, but M16 wastes bullets at long range. Only medium and close do more than one actually connect. The TAR and SCAR both unload too fast too if you aren't careful. So does the M16 but it's manageable.

The FAL became the best choice. BUT it truly is a professional's weapon. Your close range will be hindered, but it's still possible to quickly pull the trigger a few times. Up close you should only need two decent hits to kill. That's the good thing. The m16 sometimes I found you needed two shots too -- that's 6 bullets!

The SCAR and TAR will be better if you like to play it close.
At that rate you may not even want the ACOG and instead use scavenger and iron sites and silencer...Or a different sight or whatever.

Did I do well with the FAL?
Yea, a near perfect game. I went out and got shot on purpose after a while to go get my killstreak rewards again. The game went really fast. My score was 27 and 1. Got my care package, chopper, and air drop. Then after nearly running out of ammo and using someone else's gun, decided I wanted more...Got shot and made it back to the care package again. Too bad the game was short (domination ground war) if the other team did a better job and the game lasted...I would've been up to my air drop again and probably have around a 50 and 1 score. I see no reason for me dying. This was Afghan and I moved from point to point and guarded each area. It wasn't some weird camping thing. I was hopping around. I just was smart about how much I exposed myself. Most dangerous exposure was immediately at start, I hid behind the a piece of the broken airplane in the center. It was kinda in the open, but a claymore protected me one direction and I was just some place no one really expected. On Afghan you expect the rooms with windows for snipers, you expect the cliff. You expect the cave. You don't expect the open. Was even prone someone ran right past me.

THAT is the power of stealth. I am definitely liking it. I used to be more into the frag fest mentality and did a lot of "agressive sniping." I don't know now though...I can sometimes outsnipe snipers with my FAL now. By either getting the drop on them and already having one bullet in them before they realize...Or just straight up when they see me. I guess all the sniper practice carried over to be useful with the FAL with ACOG.

Hope this helps someone try something new...Hope I don't see more people with this setup wiping the floor with me...I am not that good when it comes to accuracy and fast movement with the controller. I know there are some sick people out there -- if they ironed out strategy...Oh God. I'd have to find a new game =)

It's simple guys. P90 Silencer with Ninja Pro, Cold Blooded Pro, and your choose for the next perk. Worked in COD4 works just as good in MW2.

There's a problem there. The P90 in COD4 had a much higher damage and was more accurate. The P90 in MW2 has more recoil. Like its good but you have to aim down your sights with it. You can't spray like some other guns, but spraying is bad. So I'm basically just saying that the P90 is good yet bad.

this combo has the best reach and decent enough stopping power to tag anyone on any map. combined with the M1014 your equipped to handle any spot and situation you find yourself in.
