What grinds my gears - My insurance company sent me a check for 40 cents. WTF?? It cost them more to make the check and then postmark it to me. They should have saved me the time of now having to go to the bank and depositing it by just crediting it to my account for future payments. If I close my account, then send my the remaining balance.

What grinds my gears?
Long story short... I might have to go to court for theft of a 32 GB iPod Touch, G-Shock watch, and $132 in cash.
I didn't steal any of it, they have no proof, it was my fault it got stolen though.

Okay, so I'm just a regular high school student, but yesterday so much drama came into my life. Everyday after school I got to football practice, but before going, I get changed and put my clothes into my friend's locker. No harm no foul. Well yesterday, I kind of fucked up. After football practice I went to the locker and retrieved my clothes, but to do that I had to remove everything out of the locker because it was CRAMMED with clothes. So I grabbed my backpack and clothes and my friend called me over to go talk. We talked for a little and than I talked to another, and another. After about 5 minutes I completely forgot about the locker and my friends stuff was just laying there. I left without even thinking about it and got a call 3 hours later saying that his stuff had been stolen and everybody thought I stole it! I was mad, but then realized what had happened and immediately went to my friend's house to clear it up. He ended up believeing me and we went to the school police the next day. They just reviewed some tapes and had us write incident reports and told us to wait on it. I have a feeling that he wont get his stuff back and I'm going to feel bad and have to pay for the lost materials. It was a $300 32 gb iPod Touch, a $140 black and red g-shock(watch), and $132 in cash.
If my friend didn't belive me, he could've(and thought about)pressing charges, but he ended up believeing me. Now the culprit's just going to get a misdemeanor and fines IF they get caught.

I promise no sarcasm. I have total sympathy for anyone dealing with potential charges. Back in in 2010, we went to court (nothing sinister, we did an adoption). We had to sit through calendar call before the judge could see us and even though it was just family court, people had some seriously interesting stories. I'm always interested in drama when it doesn't directly involve me.
