The thing thats pissing me off the most lately are Rock Band 3 and MLB '11. Not so much the games themselves, just the online community.
MLB '11 was my first baseball video game i've played. I played the demo on XBL, loved it and then bought it the following weekend. After learning the controls playing a few games solo I decide to play online. Oh Boy. The first guy I played bunted EVERY TIME and stole bases every time I pitched. So I'm like okay, one bad apple isn't gonna ruin the game. So I finish that game. Start up another online game, with someone different, and again bunted EVERY TIME only he only stole bases every other pitch. Haven't played the game since.
Now onto Rock Band 3. Rock band 3 is my favorite game, if i'm playing solo or with friends. If you try to play with randoms they end up putting 15 songs in the playlist. I'm not quite sure if the host doesn't know how to start the game or what. There should be a rule, only one song per player. After waiting about 15-20 minutes for people to choose songs they finally start the game. Majority of the games I have played, people always quit out. So then you have to start that whole song picking process all over again.
I never thought I would say this, but these online communities make Call of Dutys look like the greatest community ever. Tenfold.

What grinds my gears - Surewest Communications.
Last week I started having problems with my internet. No online matches, Netflix was intermittent and downloading was nearly impossible.
I call , they put me in phone jail, an hour later they make an appointment for a guy to come out. Guy comes out, replaces a bunch of stuff including the modem.
Last night, it starts again. WTF?? What am I paying for? I hate monopolies!
In this town you don't have a choice - if you want DSL or any other high speed service, you have to do biz with these people. They got me over a barrel and they know it. That's why they get away with junky service.

This is the thread to rant right ? GOOD!
Ok so i was originally scheduled to work 9am - 2pm at my job and then apparently we had a SHIT TON of call outs, so they asked me if i could stay any later and so out of the bottom of my heart i said "sure, until 8pm". Instead of cashiering i was put in the Food Ave area for basically the whole day. Around 7pm it occurred to me no one else was coming in so i asked whats going to happen when i leave at 8pm, i was then told they their closing Food Ave at 7:30 tonight and that im closing it up ... nothing had never been preparing for tomorrow and because i being told an hour before i actually leave ill have mountains of dishes i need to do. So telling me that an hour before i was supposed to leave they expected me close the place up. I did what i could and once the clock hit 8pm i clocked out and left. As i left they asked me why i left without finishing everything ... i shook my head at time and they told me they wanted to talk to me next time i come in.
I stay for an extra 6 hours for them and then get this shit pulled on me ...
See, i dont have a car of my own so my dad picks me up. The time im scheduled is the time i leave, period. They expect me to do 2 hours of cleaning and shit in the 30 minutes i was aware of what was going on ... yeah fuck that. I have an interview for a new job this tuesday and i pray to god i get hired.

That blows dick dude. If I did something like that for my job and they told me they wanted to talk...I would have snapped
But if you get hired at the new job... make sure you leave your current one in style

Hear ya there. I used to play RB and RB2 online a lot but I think I tried once to match up with some randoms on RB3 and kept getting matched with this same douchebag who kept trying to make a setlit of nothing but Crazy Train ten times in a row. I haven't tried random matchmaking since.

If you ever need a Pro Drummer hit me up!
My inability to let go of people grinds my gears.
I have 2 girls at the moment flirting with me and I gave pretty strong hints I'm not interested. For some fucking reason I can't let go of my 3 month ago ex without some sort of closure wether it be she never wants to talk to me or we end up in good standing. I just want something to go on.

I worked for Target for 2 and a half years, so I feel where you're coming from. It was the worst place I have ever worked.
One of the nights we were cleaning after the store closed and one of the employes found a turd in one of the small garbage cans they sell for bedrooms.

I worked at Target for years- around 12 years ago, lol. I loved it- one of my favorite jobs. I was a front end supervisor, though- I only had to cover food ave on breaks once in a blue moon. I left it to work at a different Target, stocking overnights... and only lasted a few weeks there. AWFUL STUFF.
Call your dad when you get off, Setsu, and then he'll know to be ready for your call at a certain time, but he doesn't have to sit waiting in the parking lot... I've never in my life worked a job where I strolled out of the workplace at the time I was scheduled to get off- and I've worked in every industry you can imagine.
EVERY industry?...
