Same thing happened to us. It sucks, because that's the TV that we watch TV on. It burned out, we ordered a new one, and then that new one burnt out the next day, and the TV has a burning plastic smell now every time it turns on. Ridiculous. We need 3k for our 70" Aquos.
The one that went out was a 57" and we had just bought a 42" plasma to habg in the bedroom. It was still in the box so for the time being I put it in the living room but it just looks ridiculous.
