Cool! New thread!

I jumped into GP (gamepass) just before Christmas as I really wanted to play Wolfenstien the New Order. After grabbing almost all of the achievements, I had about 9 days left on my 2 week trial. Well, since I am here....

Wolfenstien TNO - 900gs
Hellblade Senuas Sacrafice - 900gs
Quantum Break - 910gs
ARK: Survival Evolved - 1500gs
The Gardens Between - 1000gs
RiME - 675gs (I will finish it tomorrow)

To say the least, for a free 2 weeks and $10 for January, GP is a win in my book. In 2 weeks, the semester starts again so I may not feel that way but for now, I am having fun and earning a crap ton of gamer score.

I believe there's also the other Shantae game on there, Half-genie Hero? Cool metroidvania-style action platformers.

Don't forget that you also get day 1 access to exclusives, like Crackdown 3 coming up in February!

I just finished RiME and it's one everyone should play. It's kinda like Assassin's Creed little brother...without all of the blood and killing. Same art style as Wind Waker. It was a good experience, 8/10

To me it was a bit disorienting. It's an experience as much as it is a game, so it's on you if you like artsy games or not. I abzulutely need to jump back in and finish it!

Meta? Why? Did you REALLY have to?

In answer to your question - the controls are difficult at times and there's no "centering" for the camera. In the controls of some games, you can push down the left or right stick to center the camera behind you. I really like that. If you get lost or end up getting the camera stuck, click, your camera is right where it needs to be. Not so with this game.

I finally got around to starting Ori and the Blind Forest. I definitely understand the praise it got; even among a sea of artsy metroidvanias, this one stands out. Highly recommended to fans of Shadow Complex, Super Metroid, CV Symphony of the Night, Axiom Verge, Child of Light, etc.

Never Alone is pretty fun if you have a local co-op partner, as the experience/character skills are asymmetric, but I wouldn't recommend it to people just wanting a simple waffle. If you're a big fan of Limbo, Inside, Little Nightmares and the like, then give it a shot.

+edit+ oops just realized Never Alone aint on pass anymore. Tarnation!!

The Swapper - Interesting game, a fairly quick 1000 gs.

The texturing and coloring were very interesting. I am not sure if the models were molded in such a manner to look like claymation models or maybe it was really great texturing. I have screen shots from the game I have sent to one of my professors asking how that was done. I also sent an email to a few of the modelers and environmental artists listed in the credits, asking how F they pulled off that look.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is on the pass now, nice! I bet MS spent a big chunk of change to get the third game on gp so quickly.

I'm interested to try Crackdown 3 online with friends and see how the destructibility is, but it's definitely a situation where I wouldn't play it if it wasn't on the pass. >.>

Also did I already mention how much I'm enjoying Shadow Warrior 2? It has the loot variety of something like Borderlands but with the humor and edgelord edge of Duke Nukem, I love it. Such violence! Much more entertaining than the first game imnsho*.

So Crackdown 3 is pretty fun so far. Unfortunately the co-op isn't drop in drop out, instead you have to choose it from the main menu but you are able to use the same agent and world state from your single player campaign if you want.

The game looks nice but feels a bit floaty and unstable. I haven't had any major glitches yet but something about it makes it feel like it could crash at any moment.

Haven't tried the 5v5 Wrecking Zone stuff yet which is where all the touted destructibility is.
