You can't connect more than 4 controllers to one xbox.
Anyone else remember when you could do it with the original xbox? lol There were splitters I think that you could plug in. Could do it with N64 and PS1 as well.

You can't connect more than 4 controllers to one xbox.
Yes, Dr. Einstein, that is exactly the problem. I'm not asking for more USB ports or anything expensive to manufacture, just allow regular hubs to be plugged in and recognize up to 8 discrete players.
It shouldn't be difficult, maybe some rough stuff with all the signing in and verifications for Gold members. They could even just do a 360 version of the multitap, it would give them another overpriced peripheral to sell.

First off, how many people do you know with 8 controllers... And if you friend's brought their own controllers, why wouldn't they just stay home and get on live with you. 4 is too many as it is, especially if the game splits the screens.

First off, how many people do you know with 8 controllers... And if you friend's brought their own controllers, why wouldn't they just stay home and get on live with you. 4 is too many as it is, especially if the game splits the screens.
Not if you have a big TV (which you do have it)
I have about 11 controllers counting the two guitars and drums!
......but I still wouldn't do it, I don't want 7 other people playing
