Playing Dante's Infernoe now its a pretty straight liner hack and slash IMO, if you can wait i'd go for B.C.2 you will probably will get more play time out of it if your going for more bang for your buck. I'll get back to you if Dante's Inferno gets better.

I have mass effect 2 and got dante's and bioshock 2 at the midnight relase earlier tonight and i've got to say so far ME2 takes it over those, in my opinion i wouldnt bother with AVP period. BFBC2 is probably your best bet here but seeing as how it doesnt come out for another month you might go another way. it all depends on what type of gamer you are.. if you want a really awsome rpg go ME2 if you want a good FPS with awesome MP battles go BFBC2

I had to rush through and beat Mass Effect 2 before Bioshock 2 came out today! Mission accomplished! I'll go back to ME2, but my sights are set on Rapture!

I would also agree that BF:BC2 and Bioshock 2 are best bets. They both aim for solid single- AND multi-player offerings.
ME2 seems to be a little less big about replay as the original.
Dante's Inferno has very little replay value from what I've read.
AvP reviews indicate a very weak single-player campaign. I'm sure I will enjoy it anyway because of the material and specifics, but it may not be the best bang for your buck unless the multiplayer gets a really strong following early on.

Just hold off on buying Dante's, yeah sure some of the boss fights are hella fun, some bad camera angles will start to piss you off. Unless you need to get your unbaptized bastard baby killing fix in, you can probably hold off buying this game,.... at least for a couple of days.

BF:BC2 or Bioshock 2 I already have Bioshock 2 and love it! The multiplayer is WAY better than I thought it would be. but here is what you should think of when you decide.
BF:BC2= Great Online shooter
Bioshock 2=Great single player game, that follows up on Bioshock, With good multiplayer
Dante's Inferno=God of war style
Mass effect 2=If you liked mass effect 1 you will love this one.
