What happened to teamwork?

I was just wonder does anyone else in here miss strategic and tactical gaming? Like when you actually felt accomplished for winning a online match, by communicating and teamwork, not just because one person had 75 kills and going rambo the whole match. I wish games would put the people that have mics all on one team, influencing the ones that don't to get some. I have more on this but I just want to see what others think.

Completely understand where you're coming from but I can't deny the fact that running off and going on a slaughter spree isn't super fun.
Games like Ghost Recon and Battlefield are ideal for communication and teamwork as where games like Halo and CoD are a bunch of kids bitching about kill/weapon steals. When I play Halo TD, my partner frags me if I pick up the sniper or rockets...(assholes).
L4D, that's another good communication based game. Although my communication to my partners was always,"screw you guys, your as good as dead". As I hauled ass and left my partners for dead.

I have only had a few good matches on H4 recently where I actually had good teamwork with a team of people I didn't know. And that was in Oddball and at first I had to pretty much yell at them to stop being stupid and rushing and actually cover the person that has the damn ball. There's always that one player that wants to be a hero and puts their try-hard pants on and steals all the kills and just goes crazy with it. I enjoy a bit of a challenge as much as the next guy, but when you go that try-hard, it ruins the fun.

I agree with you on that one. Even myself has a "fuck yall" session some time. But I feel if they would reward us for being a team it'll help the team be a team. Like if you stay on a point and capture it you will keep getting points. I need to get back all the games you mentioned to. But mostly the games I was talking about is army FPS games.

Some people go into objective based game modes and deliberately go try hard. Then they yell K/D like it even matters. Whats the use of you wasting energy trying to be the best and you lose all your games?

Well do what you do....kinda a waste of time to voice that. But explain why you like to play by yourself.

I like to play by myself because then I don't have to worry about entertaining anyone over the mic by singing, which apparently everyone loves (since 75% of people seem to do it). I also don't have to worry about being in a party with someone who fucked my mom- because that seems to happen all the time. I really had no idea that she was so slutty.
Playing alone alleviates me from the difficult decision of tits or gtfo, and having to choose a boyfriend from the dozens of penis pictures I'm messaged. Because honestly, when every guy is that smooth and knows how to get a lady, how the hell can I decide? And I've been informed several times that I'm a gay little fagboy, and I sound like one, so playing alone keeps me from a dangerous journey of self discovery that I'm just not ready for yet.

there are no tactical shooters anymore, even bf, ghost recon, and rainbow six can be dominated by 1-2 great players on a team especially if it's objective based.
I've been playing online "tactical shooters" since socom came out, and that was probably last tactical shooter.
respawning defeats the purpose of trying to form a plan.

I have a group that gets together online pretty regularly... We play Black Ops 2, as well as Battlefield 3.. Whenever we get a full team, we seem to destroy any lobby we get into. We know each others play styles, our classes, and we have an efficient and effective call out system. It is pretty legit.
