What do you do for a living?

Just a topic to discuss how you keep your "gaming career" going.
1. Category of job
2. Position
3. Describe how it fits into your busy video game lifestyle
4. Would you rather be doing something else.

Do this in a non-creepy, non-invasive way. :rolleyes:

Pretty much doing this because I'm curious as to what other jobs people have and see if they're like me; rather game 24/7, haha.

Ok, so here's me:

1. Retail
2. Receiving Manager
3. I work Monday to Friday 7a-4p, no weekends, so I have the rest of the day to play video games. This is when all my buddies get out of their jobs too.
4. Yes, god yes, I would rather do something else, but for now, I'm content with what I'm doing.

The job market sucks here in Utah but I'm still trying ^_^

I work as an Occupational Safety & Health Specialist for a Fossil Plant with Progress Energy. I work normally from 7:00 to 4:30 but sometimes I get there at 6 so I get to leave an hour earlier.

I once owned my own Training company before I sold it, I taught First Aid/CPR to anyone in the Triangle and surrounding areas (the Triangle meaning Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) I sold it about a year ago.

I would like to go back to working Nuclear Outages, working 4 10 hour days one month and 6 12 hour days the next month and pull away with 20,000.00 and sit on my butt for two or three months before the next job. I don't see it being very long before I go back to doing that because I hate what I do now.

I work as a Computer Tech at a Distribution Company that deals with electrical parts. I work Monday - Friday from 8 - 5, and one Saturday a month until noon. Its actually been giving a beating to my video game lifestyle; I used to work at a school and am used to getting out at 2:30 :-/ I still haven't even opened Borderlands. I like what I am doing, and it could be worst. Money is great :-D

search next time... they've even got the same name!

anyway i work at my synagogue three or four saturdays a month playing guitar and singing; leading the saturday morning services for the little kids at hebrew school.

its not much money at all, but 12 dollars every time, thats 36-48 bucks a month, which is much more than iv ever made before

No but seriously after i graduate HS in May, im gonna be training to be a Police Officer and when i turn 18 in August is when i will go into the Detroit Police Department to start the process. I dont plan doing normal patrol for that long, my goal is to do Narcotics or be in DPD's "Gang Squad" (highly trained Gang resistance unit...or something like that).

That's pretty much why I'm working in retail, the job market sucks here too.

Yeah, I'm eventually going to finish college. Did 3.5 years with CRJ major and a minor in spanish. Once I'm finished, going to try and get a job with the government, hopefully ATF/DEA "crosses fingers"

2) assembly
3) well, i work 5-3... so i have to be in bed early every night, lol.
4) as opposed to standing on concrete for 60 hours a week? sitting on my ass.
