I say, if someone wants a game or two that's retired, it will cost them 5 bucks for me to drive to the post office and ship it with delivery confirmation. It's usually about 2.70 to ship with confirmation. Then it can stay in rotation until everyone is done with it.
Any extra money I accrue from these transactions will put aside and used to buy more games for the waffle order.
Sound fair?

1. Should there be a limit of how many games a member can have at a time? How many for a limit?
2. Should there be changes made for length of time for the colors? (Note: I will not allow an unlimited time, this is because I know with the old retired games from 3.0 that some members have had the games for many months without starting them.)
3. Should there be any penalties other than no longer receiving games if a member is late with shipping a game out?
4. With the games that members have had out before the change from 3.0 to 4.0, should they have a time limit on the games that were in there possession?
5. Should we still require a person to complete a trade before becoming a new member, or just donate a game and have a limit of 1 game until they have shipped out a certain amount on time?
2. Should there be changes made for length of time for the colors? (Note: I will not allow an unlimited time, this is because I know with the old retired games from 3.0 that some members have had the games for many months without starting them.)

<LJP> I hate to place limits on this, but maybe default to no limit until they miss a shipping date or two. Then they get limited. I would say 3 is a good number for a limit, but certainly open to other ideas.

<LJP> No, I think what you have fine for now. Six months is plenty for almost all games - and any that don't fit into that really are not Waffles :-). Also, allow them to get the game again after it has been to some members if they want.
3. Should there be any penalties other than no longer receiving games if a member is late with shipping a game out?
<LJP> It depends on what we mean by late. If they are a week late with a 2-week game or 1 week late with a six-month game - I am fine with grace periods. My only suggestion is to limit their future number of games they can have for X months. So if they do send it out late - once they do send it out - they can get games, but maybe limit the total number they can get until they prove they can keep to the schedule. If they do keep to the schedule for the next X games, then they can go back to no limit. But maybe allow them three strikes before putting the hammer down.
4. With the games that members have had out before the change from 3.0 to 4.0, should they have a time limit on the games that were in there possession?
<LJP> I would guess not. We can certainly beg and ask them to send them out early, but I would say no penalty on sending out those games. Since they did not commit to a time - it would be hard to hold them to anything specific.
5. Should we still require a person to complete a trade before becoming a new member, or just donate a game and have a limit of 1 game until they have shipped out a certain amount on time?
<LJP> I like your idea - getting a trade was a pain, and I would consider giving a game to the Waffle List as a trade. What you suggest sounds fine. Another suggestion is that they have to donate two games (one for the trade and one for the list) if they don't want to complete a trade.

I like the idea of donating 2 games or a trade,
I don't think anyone would 2 random games so I would suggest a requirement that the donations of BOTH be off of Meta's Waffle list.

Eventually the 4th post would change to a suggested donations post, though they would not be required it would be a list of the quicker games to complete. The list would be composed of games from x360a.orgs quick 1000s list.

I agree with all of LJP's responses, and I especially like the idea of letting potential new members donate some games in lieu of making a trade since that can be difficult to do.
I think a "soft" limit of 2 or 3 games at a time would be good, but veteran members could conceivably have as many as they want as long as they are in good standing.

I have a question about joining this. I was talking to Mini in the old waffle thread and because I live in Canada and cant get confirmation numbers on international packages so I wasn't allowed to join. Any chance this could change or are you keeping it the same way? Ill take no hard feelings either way. Thanks

I will let the other members decide as I feel this to be the only fair thing to do. I am unsure if costs would be higher to ship to and from Canada.
