Shadowrun
Yes. Was a good game just didn't stay consistently active or people moved back to larger title games.
Dark Sector was pretty good for a $5 game I was impressed.
Both Red Factions. Halo Wars if some people don't already know how good it is.

I think the Darkness was a really good game that often gets overlooked. The story is cool although it's a bit WTF heavy and the graphics are just barely current gen, but I think that doesn't detract too much from the overall experience.
I'm sure I'll think of a few more later.
I tried playing the demo shortly after it came out, and
just couldn't see what was so great about it. Your character moves so slow and sluggish I thought I was controlling a tank.
that does not surprise me....lol

Insert Irish's "Oh no you didn't" wonderwoman pic... LOL I liked the game, played through it once and didn't feel a need to play it again. Evol and I need to boost the MP though, we need 4 ppl in a game.
But it did get an aggregate score of 8.3 from critics, so I wouldn't call it underrated. I think that was rated just right.
oh well if it got an 8.3 than i guess you're right...i never knew what kind of rating it got, i wasn't really keen on looking into that back then. You got one person right here! If I can find another copy for charity you'll have a second

Even though it got an aggregate score of 8.3 from critics doesn't mean it was played by tons of people though. That's what underrated means to me, a game that may have it's rough edges and gotten good reviews but most people just overlooked it, much like Mirrors Edge or Beyond Good and Evil.
But on TA, 35k people played The Darkness (more than Final Fantasy XIII) and nearly 60k played mirror's edge. (That's more people than played LA Noire, Bioshock 2 and Dragon Age Origins, but no one would call any of those games underrated).
You can't call something underrated if it had good reviews, and it's in the top 100 played games, I think- even if you don't personally know a lot of people who have played it. That's why I specifically went off aggregate scores, because I think underRATED games, are games that got ratings under what they deserved- which DIRECTLY affects sales numbers.
Just want to put this out there. Mirror's Edge was amazing!

Alone In The Dark was the one game I enjoyed and everyone gave me hell for.
If they had polished it up, and added more replay.
It would have been something that would have had more appeal.
Or, add multiplayer since that's the new thing. lol
