The Official Xbox 360 S Console Thread

I just bought the new 250gb xbox and I'm loving it, so I thought I would make an official thread (Please use the format Pros and Cons for this thread).

PROS

- Smaller

- Quieter

- Sleek New Design

- More USB Ports

- Faster Internet IMO because now that the adapter is in the console, it seems faster then just having the wireless network adapter plugged in.

- Kinect Ready Port so It uses less power for Kinect.

- Sexy New Touch sensor power button and eject button.

- Even more sexy New Controller.

- And Most importantly, a hard drive with 250GB of space that goes inside the console!

CONS

- With the default standard quality component cables that come with the system, the HDMI Port is blocked off, so you have to wreck the component cables to plug in, say, turtle beaches or surround sound systems.

- No memory card slot for those of you who use them.

- Not compatible with the old hard drive, so those of you who don't wanna buy a hard drive transfer cable, sorry. :laugh:

I preordered mine, but I can't go get it until A) it arrives in stock and B) I get my old box fixed. I'm pumped though.

Yes, it's under the top, you pull a tag that says 250 GB

I took off the outer shell of my component cable (the end that plugs into the 360) and ran the audio wires to my surround sound...then I plugged in my HDMI cord to my 360 and ran it to the television.....Works fine AND I get a bad ass sound system too

I can see the attraction to this but I already have everything included with this and to me the visual aspects of it aren't worth me buying.

Yeah I picked one up at Best Buy today, walked around with it for 20 min or so and couldnt justify spending 300 when I already have everything it comes with. So I put it back. Does anyone that have the new console know if the old AV component cables will work with the new console?

BTW, you guys should know that even tho gamestop douches say that it'll be 2-4 weeks, best buy has tons of em just lying around in the back, just ask for it!

Yeah i was wondering the same thing about the AV port. Now if i trade in my console at gamestop, i know you have to trade in the console/cables/and a controller for the $100 credit. If my HD AV cables will work with the new console, then i'll just trade in the extra set of standard AV cables I have with the console and controller. otherwise i would just use the HDMI input except the two on my TV are already filled with my cable box and Blu-ray player.Now I know the new console has an audio optical output, but so do the old HD AV cables, that why I hope they work on the new console, only thing is they wouldn't match the color of the new console with the cables being gray, and everything on the new console being black.

The AV port is the same, I just heard back from xbox support
