It's been confirmed that Bulletstorm Epic Edition and pre ordering Gears of War 3 are the only ways into the beta. So don't hold out for other ways to get in.
Also there is still a limit to the ammount of players that can be in the beta, so get your pre-orders in ASAP.

Of all the articles I've read and all the videos I've watched it doesn't seem to be over-powered. I mean you can aim down the sights of the gun now but other than that it doesn't seem to be the gun everyone will use, but you never know.
That and the fact the press that have been writing these articles and playing in these videos generally arent as good as hardcore gears players so they wouldn't necessarily be able to say if a certain weapon is overpowered.
We will just have to wait for the beta and see for ourselves.
