After playing the demo numerous times and reading good reviews, I have bought skate. I have to watch football and do some homework though before I play it. I'll let you guys know how the full game is later!

Nah. I did that with bioshock to be one of the first to beat it. Infact, I think I was probably one of the top dogs regarding how much GS I achieved in one playthough, and how fast and when I did infact beat it.

I've been a 'Tony Hawker' since the first TH came out. So...I had problems getting to the flicking and such. I think I'll rent it though before I buy it...

The problem with tony hawk is it is highly, and I mean highly unrealistic. This game makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside after doing simpler tricks. This is because they make you EARN the tricks you do. You cant really compare the two, because they are different. Tony hawk is more of an arcadey skate game while skate. is more realistic.

You make it seem like I didn't know that. The problem is there weren't any other games to challenge Tony Hawk, so I got used to the Tony Hawk style of skateboarding virtually. It takes some getting used to, like with any other kind of game. I think it's the way the camera is situated.

The retail version of the game is amazing in every aspect. There is so much to do, and everything is really, really challenging. The multiplayer is fun too, and I think its cool that you can watch other people play and watch the best users and created videos and pictures and whatnot. It's worth the buy for sure!

Speaking of Gamestop employees, let me tell you about my experience with that horrid store. Yesterday, I ended up calling my local game crazy's to see if they had the game. All of them told me they could really only cover the pre-orders and a little more, and they were sold out until Monday. The same went for the gamestops, except one. This gamestop in particular had employees that had gotten into it with my friend over a 360 console trade in and when he discussed with them if they wanted to pick a fight, they should go outside and deal with it like men, they took his license plate number as he was driving away with cocky smiles on their faces.
This one had told me they had the game. I make the 10 minute drive up there, and when I ask them for it, they look at each other with the same cocky smiles and say we just sold the last one. I just say wow, and spit on their door as I walk out. I go right over to best buy literally right down the road and get it without problem. Why tell me you have it when you have 1 copy left and its selling like hotcakes? These were the same two dudes that gave my friend trouble so I called them and gave them a piece of the mind pie.
Note, I am not homophobic and was angry at the time. I called their store and said yeah I was the one you deceived to think you had the game skate when you didn't, and I just wanted to let you fags know I got the game elsewhere, YA DIG and hung up. This store is in a snobby area of mine, and these guys are no different. They think they know everything, but when I picked up the only game I ever reserved there, which was crackdown, the same two guys working there were asking ME when the halo 3 beta started. I can honestly say if these two guys were ever spotted by me in public outside of their employer, it would not be pretty.

I don't think spitting in their store and calling them fags was the right route to go, but at least now you know not to use game stores.
They are actually the worst place to buy games, as everyone always thinks to go there first.

Like I said, I'm not a disrespectful person at all, but that was the last straw. They deserved every bit of it, and if you lived in my area, you would know what I was talking about. I can't believe I tried them after what happened to my friend. Again, I'm not homophobic but this was the only thing I could do without swinging for the fences if you know what I'm saying.
