nope, a console up until this point had a 5 year span until new console with a few years after still supported, this console has had 8 year span so not much else you can get out of it.

No one said that it was ps3 or ps4 only. The conversation was whether bungie (traditionally Xbox exclusive) was slapping ms in the face by going to Sony as well.

Depends on what you mean by stick around. I don't think the consoles are going to be confiscated, but I don't think games will be put out for it after 2014, nor will new consoles be made. Look what happened to the original Xbox after the 360..
I'm really not excited for the new Xbox for 2 reasons. 1) it has been leaked that the new console will require always on Internet as well as either game installation or digital downloads. 2) it has been said that the console requires kinect to function, which may be built in and always on.
I'm not buying "big brother, the console." No. Way.
