Yup - Halo's always been like that. You will only get the achievements after the game has ended (MP) or the chapter ends (campaign).
No offense, but you don't have an xb1 and have no idea what he's talking about. He got an achievement for beating a level, but not 3 other achievements in that level that he met the requirements for.
They take days to pop very frequently and nearly every game has had achievement issues. So no, not all halo games are like that.

i JUST got the gs for master chief collection achievements i earned last week
sometimes its ridiculous, especially when you want to keep an achievement streak going on TA.

Xb1 has some serious issues with achievements popping. Don't get me started on playing offline...

So far, knock on wood, it really hasn't been an issue. The only issue that I've really had was on Titanfall, but I think that was the game itself and not related to Xbox.

Yeah the specific situation was I was playing The Maw level in Halo CE and picked up the skull and stared down 2 Easter eggs, all three things should have given me an achievement each. But none did. But when I finished the level I got achievements for finishing the level, finishing Halo CE and for playing every level in classic and anniversary. It was a totally different kind of issue than we've all been having cuz it didn't even acknowledge that I fullfilled the requirement.
And @Snapple, yeah the TA streak stresses me out when achievements don't pop all day thankfully it hasn't ruined mine (going away for a few days ruined it instead).

It's not a separate issue. That's literally happening to everyone playing Halo MCC. Just Google your issue to see complaints.

True, not separate issue, just slightly different than the issue I'd been having. I just logged on now though and all the ones i was missing are unlocked. Accept Pillar of Autumn. Still haven't gotten that one 10 days later.

Dragon Age Inquisition is just... so good. With all the gaming news false promises & dismayed hype this year, I literally have a dozen games I REALLY wanted to play tonight, but I'm ending up with most of my free time on it. Single player is just... damn good. And I kept getting good multiplayer parties. It's nice to be playing a videogame, while thinking (yep.. probably going to put 200hrs into this). To be fair, this's been a pretty good year, all around.

Side note: I'm missing about a dozen achievements on Halo MCC also. They've been popping here and there while I'm doing other shit.
