Is it really a big deal at this point, though? I mean- people care? The 360 launched 8 1/2 years ago, so to get to a million by now he'd only need 113k a year. Which is a lot to put up in a year, but he's not doing anything else.
It would be like if Snapple decided to chronicle his journey to one million hangovers. At some point it just seems like... Why is this supposed to be impressive? Any other person could have done it if it had been a big deal to them, hell- smrnov is really close and he actually has a job and family.
Maybe I'd think it was a bigger deal if it was 3 years ago, but with all the gfwl, wp 7&8, windows 8, and regional games out there (and there are 1,119 games out there just for regular old 360s), I don't see why it matters.

People such as myself have been following his progress since he was at like 200k. It's a big deal since he'll be the first person to do it.

Exactly.
You sound like a hater, Kat. If no one else has done it, it's definitely a huge milestone in gaming history.

Gotta side with AJ here. Clearly you aren't impressed by him by you shouldn't try to diminish his accomplishment. He more or less has devoted his whole life to this.
My point is, he doesn't have a job. His gf only has a pt job. You can fill in the blanks as to where his money comes from and has come from, unless you think his "hand cushion" endorsement deal really took off. He's not in school any longer obviously, since he said gaming is full time for him, and he has yet to get married or start a family. By most people's yardsticks the guy is a huge loser. Yes, if anyone else actually REALLY thought that gamerscore mattered more than a life, they could have put up 113k a year easily. Hell, Mini did more than that when he was in nursing school. It's been a LONG time since the 360 came out and he's not even close to completing every game that's out there.
People like that shouldn't be CELEBRATED. If he died of a blot clot he'd be mocked like the kids who have had that happen in marathon sessions.
Idk- like I said- 3 years ago, a million might have been impressive. Now I just can't believe people actually give a shit.
You guys want to so bad, you know it!

Yeah definitely hating.

Whatever you need to tell yourself to justify the fact that you're this invested in someone who has not done anything with their lives, buddy.
What exactly am I hating? Gamers? I am one. Gamerscore? I mentioned that I think smrnov is more deserving of praise and they're pretty close in score. People who do nothing but play games all day and don't work? I like Heath and snapple just fine.
So maybe- just maybe- I actually have a point.

I'm not looking to argue here, I really don't care that much honestly. You seem more passionate in your hate of him than is necessary however.
