I know I normally don't post in here but I felt compelled to do so.

Do you really think that EVERYONE in Ohio is burning LeBrons jersey? I mean how dare we be upset that the BEST player ever to come out of Ohio is now leaving. Of course we're upset. Of course the news is only going to focus on the nutjobs who are burning jerseys and as you say "shooting flaming arrows" at him. Its the big topic right now, much like the Celtics a couple years ago when they got Garnett and crew. The people who are okay with it aren't going to be as vocal about the issue.

People will get over it. They're hurt right now because he was the best and maybe only shot we had at winning a championship. You are right there is piss poor management but at least we had Lebron. He was also a hometown boy and most people don't understand why someone would "desert" their hometown.

Its funny because you're trying to seem intelligent about the issue but then you are overgeneralizing the response that you think is occuring about Lebron leaving. There is nothing wrong with being upset with someone for leaving. Should anyone be burning jerseys, I say no. But seriously we're all a bunch of babies who are taking it out on the wrong person? Maybe you should stop worrying about how fans react and worry more about talking about sports instead of taking the time to bash everyone in Ohio for something only a few idiots are doing.

I personally wish him luck in winning the championship that he so desparately wants. I think that sports are supposed to be about more than championships but then again I don't play in the NBA.

If this had happened to any other team they'd have some fans that react the same way. No city will ever top Philly for the craziest shit-house fans. They would have rioted in the streets in Philly and burned more than a few jerseys if LeBron left them.

You can buy a Lebron James Fathead for $17.41 right now. The reason it is so cheap is Dan Gilbert the owner of the cavaliers is also the owner of the company "Fat Head". Traitor Benedict Arnold was born in the year 1741. No matter how you feel about the situation you have to admit that is funny.

Now should I buy one? lol

Oh my god I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into you guys. Do you honestly, and please be honest....blame him? He put his entire soul into Cleveland, he played basketball there his whole life. Let's face it the last time the Cavs were in the playoffs was 5 years before Lebron showed up, and when he did he immediately made an impact.

The Cavs finished 3 spots higher in their Division, and raised their winning percentage and he also was the first Cav to win Rookie of the Year, not bad for a kid right outta high school. The next season he once again was involved in their better winning percentage and they finished the season higher in the Division than they did the previous year. The next 5 years all involve playoff appearances including a 2006 season where they won their first ever Eastern Conferance Championship (I betcha you guys all were patting Lebron on the back then) Lebron continues to win awards (and also mind you in Lebron's entire career no other teammate ever won an individual award, aside from Mike Brown's gimme Coach of the year 66-16!!!)and was also the only Cav to win the Player of the Year award, which he won 2 times in a row.

To tell me that he is a traitor, coward, narcissist, average player is just not logical, in fact it's absolutely insane. I do understand the pain of watching your team fall apart, I am in fact from New York home of the "CHOKE" but to burn his jersey like he is some kind of child killer is tasteless and cements Ohio as "Craziest Fans in Sports". To top off the circus currently stopping in Ohio for the next oh 2 months, you have Dan Gilbert....my god this man is such a puppet master, a suave snakeoil salesman reminds me of a stupider Pat Reily.

He writes this seething propoganda filled with every unimaginable disgrace to a player he should be on his knees thanking for his revenue and you guys believed him. What could you offer Lebron? NOTHING, in the 5 years that the Cavs where making the playoffs and super hot, he coulda snagged at least 1 or 2 reliable "Toni Kukoc" type guys and cement Lebrons place in Cleveland. What does he do? He lets CARLOS BOOZER walk the year before Lebron gets drafted, he then goes on to sign bargain basement bench role players and rookies who never work out.

Of course Lebron quit this year, what is the point? He plays every minute of every game, is expected night in and night out to be "the guy" and make "that shot", you know what sometimes Jordan passed to Pippen, Bird dished it to Mchale, Magic no looked to Worthy. Who the fuck could Lebron COUNT on amoung those guys? Really who, and please be honest with yourself and have facts to prove any nominees.

I honestly cannot think of another player who has done what Lebron has done thus far, he just about single handedly supported a franchise, he took those guys and gave them confidence and support. He turned the "Jordan's Game Winner" into "Game 5 win over Detriot" amoungest the fanbase and really made the whole state believe they could win a championship. Then he left, because he wants to be able to actually win a championship, can you again blame him?

I could once again explain just how many times Dan Gilbert failed all of you, but you'll prolly just be too busy shooting flaming arrows at targets of Lebron's face. It all boils down to being upset that you know the Cavs are not going to win a championship before Lebron does (and that line I think the term ROFL was penned exactly for moments like that) I understand that pain once again CHOKEtown resident, but you guys are getting all into it and making fools of yourselves, you can create this fable of The Day Lebron turned into Satan, but get real, the dude wants to win, he is taking less money and ready for a shoulder to lean on, its been a long 7 years and standing so tall for so long can really make your legs tired.

Just have some respect for the game and yourselves, he is still from Ohio and will always be it's his home, stop acting like those yokels from frankenstein and beat some kids games or something.

Ok now thats it properly spaced so you can understand it please feel free to have some proof of an intelligent arguement Evol1. As far talking out of my ass Irish i think you have me confused with the sports reporters from Ohio man.

*Edit - I wanted to note that I'm not attacking Ohio as a whole and saying you guys are rioting in the streets, but you guys are some crazy fans, I think the Dawg Pound is a prime example of when passion meets alcoholism.

1. Ohio fans really shouldn't be mad at Lebron. do you HONESTLY think he was gonna stay on the cav's after he found out delonte west was fucking his mom? as soon free agency hit the cav's were NEVER an option. That killed the team chemistry at the end of the season.

2. Miami has the east on lock for a LONG time, especially with CP's contract being up next year (and so is chalmers) CP is definitely coming to Miami next year.

3. NO team in the east can compete with them, boston is old as fuck and full of overrated players, bulls don't have players that show up in the playoffs, and the magic/hawks are choke artists. which leaves the lakers in the finals.

4. comparing the lakers to the heat..even only the "big 3" are better then the lakers, as the lakers really extremely heavily on gasol and kobe. no other player truly steps up on that team.

face it, you guys are hating. this was the best desicion. It's gonna be like boston, were it was paul pierce's team despite him not being the best player on the team. (that being KG.) every team might as well pack it up for a couple years.

Yea the Cavs were the only Ohio team that I liked so needless to say I wont be going to any Cavs games next year now seeing as they have absolutely noone worth paying any money for. But, at the same time I cant blame him for leaving. Dan Gilberts a huge asshat and, well, he was a one man show. O well, more bad luck for Cleveland sports

This article at Yahoo! Sports is the best piece I've read about the whole Leboron fiasco. Here's the link to the full article: Click Here
Here's an portion of it:

Quote by By Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! sports:

They ended up with that split-screen of the King’s jersey burned live on his infomercial, as this sad, lost robot sat in a leafy suburban gymnasium with children as props and the world watching, those empty eyes masking a lost, dazed LeBron James(notes). This was the champagne shower for the Championship of Me, an exercise in self-aggrandizement and self-loathing that will have far-reaching implications for the NBA and James. What a spectacle, what a train wreck.

As the worst idea in the history of marketing unfolded, James looked trapped somewhere between despondence and defiance. His bumbling buddy Maverick Carter had walked him into the public execution of his legacy, his image, and there was a part of James that clearly wished he could turn back through the doors and hide. Only, it was too late. No going back now. James goes to the Miami Heat, Cleveland goes into a basketball Hades and LeBron’s legacy becomes that of a callous carpetbagger.

“His brand is [bleep] now,” one high-level NBA official said late Thursday. “He’s destroyed everything.”

The Championship of Me became the Championship of Flee, because LeBron James doesn’t believe he can be the centerpiece of a title team. He needed Dwyane Wade, a closer, far more than Wade needed him.

Yes, he’s ruined everything. What a wonderful idea: Divorce your childhood sweetheart on national television and tell her, hey, I’ll let you keep the “We are all Witnesses” billboards lording over downtown Cleveland.

“I’m taking my talents to South Beach,” James said, and it was like time stopped because – even for him – this was a moment so devoid of reality and free of concern of consequences. South Beach? He wasn’t picking a basketball team as much as a party. He’s 25 years old, and yet somehow this felt like a cloistered teenager picking a party school for college.

Yes, James will take his talent to South Beach and leave his soul in Cleveland. His hometown won’t hate him as much for leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers as for the way he left them. Leaving never would’ve been easy, but he went out of his way to humiliate them. LeBron James can never go home now. He’s the Browns leaving town, The Fumble, The Shot, all rolled into one colossal disappointment.

Now, Clevelanders truly see it for themselves: He was a fan of the Cowboys, the Yankees – never the Browns and Indians. He was a frontrunner, and he just made the most frontrunner move in the history of the NBA. Off to Miami with Riles, D-Wade and Chris Bosh(notes).

New York would’ve been hard, and maybe Cleveland would’ve been the hardest. With those state tax laws in Florida, he isn’t taking less money with the Heat. He’s just taking less risk and less burden in his championship chase.

“This whole idea that he makes his own decisions, that [bleep] went out the window with this,” one NBA executive said. “Someday, he’s going to look back at this and not believe that he let those kids at LRMR talk him into doing this. This idea that he’s his own man … Come on, he’s a follower. And he’s following all the way to Miami now.”

He goes on to thoroughly lay into Dan Gilbert and give him his share of the blame for spoiling Lebron's childish ass and how Danny Ferry and Mike Brown warned him that Lebron would never respect the franchise if they were constantly bending over backwards to kiss his ass. Lebron's always been a spoiled child and he sure has hell proved that to the world last night.

"MIAMI (AP) -- Done deal. LeBron James and Chris Bosh are members of the Miami Heat.

The Heat completed sign-and-trade deals with Cleveland and Toronto on Friday night for their two newest superstars. The Heat sent two future first-round and two second-round picks to the Cavaliers for James, while packaging two first-round picks to the Raptors for Bosh.

James, Bosh and Dwyane Wade all signed six-year contracts Friday night, each leaving millions of dollars on the table in order to provide the Heat flexibility to build a championship roster. They could have made $16.6 million apiece this season, but took less money - none would say how much less - to get the deals done."
