Here's the thing; this is not completely accurate. He had 1 sample and that single sample was arbitrarily split in two. That may sound like splitting hairs until you find out that had it not been split, he would've passed. The average of the two samples would not have been high enough. Even further, had the two parts been labeled the opposite way, (real sample B tested before real sample A) the failing sample would never be tested.
It's bullshit that all of that exists and the league can't be anything but super rigid. That being said, I think he's a dumbass. Had he not failed previous tests, he might have found leniency. In a vacuum, this should've been thrown out. In context with previous behavior, he'll have the book thrown at him instead of the football.
It sucks for the team and our fans, but selfish people make selfish decisions and everyone lost this time.
