I think the series is exactly how it should be, the Spurs let game 2 go and really had a terrible 4th quarter in that game as well.
Missing the 4 free throws in a row was unacceptable and Leonard had still not realized that he's a pretty damn great basketball player.
How about the Spurs setting a new playoff record for shooting percentage in the 1st half, shit at one point with about 6 minutes left in the second they were shooting 90%...Spurs are for real.
Indeed...that's the point I was trying to make about game 2....those 4 free throws they missed in a row was like a 7 point swing....and they only lost by 2, so if you factor in those free throws being made they would have won by 2, but I digress.

True I apologize, I'm just so ready for all the bandwagon fans to eat their words about how this was going to be a throw away series. The Spurs have a better coach, bench, offensive output and attitude about how they play the game. It was hilarious seeing Wade and James looking to the ref every time they missed a shot or turned the ball over complaining about being fouled, just turrible.

Yeah but if you watched the end of game 2 spurs had no momentum once Parker got elbowed. They only lost by 2 to a last second shot the heat didn't really defend because there wasn't enough time for them to score again so the score says the game was closer then it was at the end of it. There was no way the heat were losing with how well lebron was playing.

Yuh, I can see what you're saying Lebron has to play big for them to stay in the game, but he needs support.
Bosh I think took like 6-8 shots and Wade is a shell of his former self, his knees are about as sturdy as 2 tin cans at this point in his career.
Mario Chamlers has to play waaaaay wayyy better than he has this series, they need him on the floor not Norris Cole.
Parker is very important but they can and have won games of this caliber without him, I look at it this way the Heat NEED Lebron, Bosh and Wade to all play very well, the Spurs have options and plenty of support coming off the bench that Miami does not, this series is over game 6 or earlier IMO.

That's always been how the heat have had to win in the finals though. That team is built around 3 performing well with other people filling in for floor spacing, but if someone doesn't play well then they are fucked.

You guys are crazy, it's all about air conditions
But seriously, the Spurs aren't screwing around this year and if you look at the games they have won, they've blown it out of the water. Tim wants to win again before him and pop retire. Tony and Manu are really stepping up this year compared to last. Kawhi is amazing and still has room to learn and grow. The Spurs bench is also great, pop can throw in good players to rest the really good ones. Can Miami do that? Nope. I really think they'll take it this year.

I have precisely zero fucks to give for the World Cup. FIFA can choke on a bag of dicks. If you don't have HBO or haven't checked out John Oliver's new show, this is one clip any self respecting soccer fan ought to watch - http://youtu.be/DlJEt2KU33I

They are playing like trash because they're being outmatched in all phases of the game.

Don't worry, the Heat will get Melo next year and their defense will be even worse. Then they'll run roughshod over the terrible Eastern Conference only to once again be completely outclassed by the champion from the far superior Western Conference.

True, True....the difference in competition between the 2 conferences has been gaping, and it just continues to widen as the years pass. Anytime a team with a below .500 record makes the playoffs your conference is terribad. I don't think the Heat were outclassed in the previous years playoffs, but I think Pop figured them out this year, I have never seen the Heat get toasted at home like that 2 games in a row, make no mistake the Spurs are a special team right now.

If the Heat want Melo, then the top three boys in Heat will have to take a significant pay cut to bring him in. Their cap has no room for him.

Wade really doesn't have the right to demand superstar pay, he has looked very old in the Spurs series.
Even if the Heat do get Melo, like Evol1 said earlier it would fix nothing, the problem with the Heat is their bench and PG positions are not even close to what they need to be.

Exactly. Melo does not fill any of their needs and handicaps them even more.
And if you think the big 3 are the only ones taking major pay cuts, think again. Melo himself would stand to lose a ton, plus Haslem would have to sacrifice a lot of money on what is probably his final solid career contract. LeBron will be rich even if he never gets another basketball check and even Wade and Bosh are probably set for life, but getting Haslem and about 3 others who have no such luxury, to take huge paycuts may not be feasible.
