Lack of defense?? They led the league in interceptions and gave up the 8th fewest total points!!

the only reason the gave up the 8th fewest points is because their defense was barely on the field.but when they were on they were ranked 25th in yards allowed per game with 336 and 30th in passing yards allowed per game with 258.if you throw the ball enough times its going to get picked off, hence them being first in interceptions.

Wilfork, Meriweather, McCourty, and Mayo are all pro bowlers and Brandon Spikes will be very soon. But I guess that's lacking defense?
As preseason is ending, I'm thinking Garrard will be cut and Luke McCown will start
i dont live in the world of very soon,i live in the now and right now only wilfork was a pro bowl starter while Ray Lewis,Haloti Ngata and Ed Reed were.

And the number in between shows that they give up only 78 yards rushing a game, but you so conveniently leave that out since it doesn't support your argument.
Also, we are talking about the NFL. This isn't college so don't give me that defense was barely on the field bullshit. The only way an NFL defense stays off the field is with 3 and outs which also doesn't support your argument.
Just face it, you pulled something out of your ass and 2 people called you on it. Walk on by kid.

the reason i left out the rushing yards is because you brought up the interceptions which is obviously pass defense.i never said their rush defense isnt good, its hard not to be good when you have a tank taking up two offensive linemen.its how the ravens defense works with ngata, gregg and even Tony Siragusa when they won the superbowl in 2000. the reason there defense wasnt on the field as much as say the ravens is because of their offense and that is it.the ravens dont have a quarterback like brady so their defense is on the field more because they are not getting constant first downs.
The Patriots average time of possession last season was under 30 minutes per game, good for 20th in the league which is in the bottom half. Their offense has the ball an average of over 3 minutes per game less than a team like San Diego. Actually the Baltimore offense ranks 9th in offensive T.O.P. at over 31/game so I'm not sure why you just keep saying things.
