Dwight is still by far the best center in the league

he put 16/12 up last year while being injured.
he's normally a 20/14 guy with multiple dpoty awards, but he's not the best center in the league? lol ok ill humor you, who is then?

lmao noah is maybe fringe top 10, Gasol is good defensively, but way too passive offensively. and TD is literally 37 years old.

He's the most athletic center, for sure, but he's locker room poison. I'd take Duncan for 2 years over Howard for 5.
Even if he was the best in the league by far, he's the best in the historically weakest class of big men I can remember in the NBA. There just aren't dominant big men like there used to be. Howard would've been a forward in the 80s and 90s. His stats are inflated because he almost isn't a center at all. If that makes him the best in the league right now, fine, but I just don't think it's saying much. There is a lot of young bigs that will be better than Howard as long as they can stay healthy. Especially if Howard keeps acting like a spoiled baby and can't get his head out of his ass.

no, you're golden era (90's) of tons of big men was extremely lopsided. there was 7-10 awesome big men, but the rest were glorified bums. centers nowadays are a lot more versatile and athletic then in the 90's.
there's a lot more even talent nowasayd since people got to learn the hakeem post moves and shit.

But there are no dominant ones. Maybe there were only 7 or 8, but they dominated. You say centers are more versatile and athletic and I say they are just 7 footers that can shoot 15-18 foot jumpers and undersized guys that can jump. There are no Ewings, Hakeems or Shaqs anymore.

He's probably the most attractive center...
Surprised?

so what? the league has become more guard centered anyway, you don't need the ewing's or robinson's anymore. the league has become inside out, compared to inside in from the early 90's and before.

So what is that my point is that DHow might be the best center in a watered down group of centers.
