Couldn't you play as NAZI's in the multiplayer mode of Wolfenstein? I never heard any backlash on that fact. Can't exactly remember if you could or not, even though that game was about the occult side of the Nazis(which they did believe in). It's an EA game and it prolly won't sell that well anyways, EA's pretty f'ing stupid regardless.

We fought because some Japanese crashed some planes into our ships at Pearl Harbor.
We stayed out of the war for 2 years before that.
Edit:
Just for clarifications sake, I am very much oversimplifying the situation. We did assist Britain prior to our "official" entry into the war with Japan (Germany then declared war on us) and had several naval battles with Germany prior to Pearl Harbor. The point was to be a bit sarcastic and also point out that until we had been attacked directly the American public had no desire to join the war.
