this is just as fucking retarded as PETA gettin their panties in a knot because W@W promoted animal cruelty because you killed dogs, and people feeling bad because of the airport scene in mw2 where you killed innocent civilians.

honestly people? its a fucking game. calm your shit and just dont play it if it REALLY bothers you that much. my god, people act like something like this is going to make everyone go join the dam taliban or start shootin the US army people! unless youre just a complete idiot, and dont know the difference between reality and video games (which, i would hope most of us do since a lot of you are adults. the only people who might have a chance of not knowing the diff is little kids, like below 13, and people w/ special needs) who honestly cares? its a game. get over it. you walk in on 2 people fucking in RDR, why didnt anyone care about that? fallout 3 talks about america having a corrupt gov't, possibly symbolizing how they are now (pretty corrupt id say, and im even an obama supporter) but nobody made a big deal about that (as far as i know)

this is stupid. its a game, not reality, get over it. i dont see why people make big deals about this, and really, its only for vid games. as far as i know, i havent heard about anything like this for music or movies (im sure theres lots of movies/music out there that do stuff similar to this, but how many news articles jump on them?)

is this really what weve come too?

"Hey kids, forget that the Taliban is a terrible group that tramples all over the basic civil liberties and human rights of the civilians in their countries, especially women- playing as the Taliban is AWESOME!!!!!!! Come be a badass rebel and play a game your parents will really hate!"

The woman in this article lost her son in Iraq. The Taliban are the reason she will never hold him in her arms again. I realize most of you guys have no idea what that would feel like, but I have 2 sons. If anything ever happened to them, I'm pretty sure I myself would die. If I lived through the heartbreak, I'd be broken, angry and grieving for the rest of my life. And I sure as hell would lash out at anything or anyone that glorified the cause of my baby's death. Anyone who doesn't understand this woman's pain is incredibly immature.

I realize that in a multiplayer game, you really don't have a backstory or anything, it's basically "red team VS blue team" and you don't care who you are or who you're against, you just try to kill the other team. But to people who don't play games, and just hear that there's a "Play as the Taliban" mode in a game- it is going to come off as a big "Fuck you, bereaved families!" from EA.

And EA sucks.

I wish I could write this well. I would get no back talk! lol. A few post did make me do a double take.

Anyone who would throw women and children in front of an American Convoy to make the americans stop so they can get a good shot at the americans with an RPG...are animals...fuck them all. This lady has every single right to be offended by this game. As melissa and dirty have mentioned, once everyone grows up and becomes mature about things like this, and understand WHY she is upset, you wouldn't be sitting here arguing the fact.

I understand its freedome of speech and people have the right to think what they want, and thats cool...But dont bash the woman for being upset with this game because some she loved was lost to the enemy. How about have one of your loved ones get blown up by a roadside bomb or get shot through the head one good time by one of these fuckers...See how cool you are with this game then
