Usually I get that text message telling me the game will be ready the next day for pickup. Has not happened yet. Hope mine has it as well in the morning. I will be pretty unhappy if it isn't.

A lot of different forums are getting mixed answers from different GameStop locations and so on. A lot are pointing towards Wednesday yet some are promising their copies in the morning. My advice would be to call your GameStop and see when they will have their shipment in if they haven't gotten it already.

I guess the silver lining is I'll get to read some reviews before I get my copy. IGN gave it a 8/10. According to the user comments the single player is very much unplayable. (Due to AI similar to Brink) where teammates can't complete objectives or carry loot and only assist you as mindless meat shields. Normally this would be somewhat tolerable for a skilled player but this also means you can't be stealthy in a stealth based game! Thankfully the multiplayer is being highly praised. The character building reminds me of Borderlands. 4 skill tree's that can be mixed and matched. There also seems to be some bugs like being able to stand inside civilians or invisible walls...which can be patched hopefully.
Just be warned: If you require a legit single player this game is not for you.

I feel the same way though. Its 20 fucking 13 and they can't get with the times with new release Tuesday that has been the same release day forever.
I just got denied at my gamestop on trying to pickup, and I am seriously considering cancelling my preorder.
When I preorder games and a release date is given by either the developer or shitty GameStop (even though I know GS has nothing to do with it), I expect to get it on that day.
Being disabled now and being stuck at home for a majority of my week, I have bigger expectations with shit like this. I wanna kill time, not sit here wondering when my shits gonna be in, I just want to play a new title and not have to worry about my personal life.
All the twitters for the company and on forums had stated Aug 13 US/AUG 16 EU
So yeah we are not happy, but calling us spoiled is like saying your opinions actually matter, its just not true..

I find it extremely irritating as well. The last time this happened to me was Alpha Protocol. It was delayed and changed at least 7 times.

you're missing the point, console gamers are being treated like 2nd class consumers, because they chose not to ship it out early so we didn't get it when it releases. There's way too many games coming out I could put my money towards, and with saints row next week how much time could I put into this game?

I was pissed... I went up there today and they said it's not coming out until Friday after they told me a week ago it was coming out on Tuesday. I cancelled my preorder and put the money on Killzone witch I thought I already preordered but I guess I was wrong.

you will see that it had been stated as early as August 6th that only the Steam version of the game was launching on the 13th, where other platforms following between the 13th-16th.
Be mad when the game launches today on Steam and the game get delayed a month for other platforms. Don't overreact when it comes out on schedule in the next few days.
yeah they confirm it a week before, when they could of just shipped it earlier and avoided this whole situation.

I'm more pissed at the fact the release date was incorrect in the store. Unless it's a limited number of console situation, no company should be able to take pre-order money on a unknown date. That said there is no point playing this until another drought month and by then it will be even cheaper then $40.
