Alright I know you're all sick of hearing about this but I need help. I plugged in a completely different 360 and the same thing happened. Just turns off. I took it out in another room and it works fine. So I'm pretty baffled, any suggestions? The thing that pisses me off most is that this has never happened before, so why now?

I tried different electrical sockets all around my room and none of them worked. I usually plugged it into an extension cord with 6 other sockets which I used to plug in my tv, pc, etc.

Maybe something is eating away at your wiring in your room. You could try flipping the circuit breaker for that room and see if anything changes, other than that I'd test the line voltage and see if there's a drop when you try and use the 360. Anything after that I'd call an electrician.

My console had been doing the exact same thing, would shut down as soon as i would shoot a gun in mw3 or start up a game with a lot of graphics, checked the yellow a/v cable and was in a white plug on the tv, switched to componet 1 and solved the problem.
anyways thanks for the post saved me from buying a new one when mine was fine.
