Nice to see Witchery getting something out, I like Legion's vocal style; it sucks he left Marduk, he was a better "front man" than Mortuus.

Nachtmystium - Black Meddle part 2 is going to be interesting, pt1 was a pleasant surprise for a lot of people, myself included.

Fuckin awesome!
First off, I haven't been paying attention to Behemoth since the last show here was canceled due to illness, but that is awesome the new DVD is out already.
Aborym? Man I haven't listened to them in a long time; I was pretty psyched when they first came out with With No Human Intervention album because it was a weird and neat mix of modern thrash metal and techno & house electronic music.
Deathspell Omega are pretty badass, glad to see new stuff from them.
Solefald I haven't heard in YEARS man. A long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away I found this song called "Philosophical Revolt" by Solefald on accident. I was studying philosophy at the time and coincidentally looking for new, heavier bands to get in to.
Sargeist had a fuckin awesome demo but I hadn't paid attention to them since then, I'll have to peep in and see what it do.
It's always good to know GWAR is still alive and kicking. I have had the honor of seeing them twice and they were both fun concerts.
Impaled Nazarene used to be awesome a long time ago.
And Samael... man, I'm surprised they're still around too. There must be a big market for electronic-tinged dark pop music in the Scandinavian region.

Meh kind of a slow month to me, but I do want the new Behemoth DVD and I got the new Oceano cd, only listened to half of it so far and it's pretty brutal. The Chariot's not too bad for christian metal but their last CD blew asshole so not too worried bout gettin the new one. The Ocean isn't too bad either.

Weehaw more Belphegor is always good, those guys are nuts.
I can't believe Battlelore is still around, I am curious what they sound like these days.
Not much else here of interest to me... Six Feet Under was awesome a long, long time ago.
I've heard good things about The Human Abstract but never listened to them personally.
Also, it's pretty cool At the Gates got back together.

I've kind of lost my taste for heavy metal stuff like this over the past few months. The only album I'm really looking forward to this year (metal wise) is Trivium's new album. And Tool's new one, if you count that as metal, and if it actually comes out this year lol.

Chaind you ought to check out KillWhitneyDead, I think you might enjoy them.

regarding Tool's new album, dont keep your fingers crossed. it only takes 1 asshole to ruin it all. like when 10,000 Days came out. that wasnt the original album title. someone leaked it and Tool was like "the fuck is that guy talkin bout? we never called our album that." but later stated they changed the album title and release date all because it was leaked. i cant wait for it though. and Meta, i'll look into them. also some band did a grindcore cover of "Im on a Boat", it wasnt Goatwhore, but it was Goat-something.
oh listened to Killwhitneydead. the remind me SOOOOOO much of Liferuiner. Liferuiner is hilarious, check out "You look better when you're drunk" and "You use dirt as a metaphor for life" by Liferuiner, Meta. epic songs. except the end of "you use dirt as a metaphor for life" has something disturbing......... thought they went a little too far with it. oh, and i might as well throw this out there, but Emmure is a good listen to as well. they have the most random-est song titles mixed in with just odd lyrics. i still laugh whenever i listen to "R2DEEPTHROAT" and he says "ask ya girl what my dick tastes like". but honestly the only good album they have is "Goodbye to the Gallows". its a hell of a masterpiece though.

new update! Original KsE vocalist Jesse Leach AND KsE Guitarist/Drummer Adam D have a new band together. their new band, Times of Grace, released their debut album, The Hymn of A Broken Man, last week. Adam D filled all positions and produced the album while Leach was on vocals. not sure who is filling in on tour, but i have already, umm "procured" the album through *cough cough pirated cough cough* ways that are totally legit. i must say, it has this Killswitch theme, but takes a new direction entirely. the ever-religious Leach has turned this into a metalcore almost-Christian band. their first single, Strength In Numbers, was an okay song. its worth a listen for all fans of Leach and KsE.
