My name is Chuck, and I am from Akron, Ohio. I am currently unemployed, and once again didn't have enough cash saved to take advantage of it by making gaming a full time vocation until I find new employment. That would run contrary to my luck.
I've been a gamer all of my life, yes, I had a crappy "Pong" console when they were new. I was a long time PC gamer, until I started working at Michelin. The other employees there got me interested in getting an Xbox 360. My first one was used and it didn't last long, but I went ahead and bought another (which recently died). I didn't start taking getting achievements seriously until my second 'box was on its last leg, this hurt my Multiplayer ability big time, as I was having video freeze issues. I'm looking forward to getting it repaired so I can get back into it. I have almost a dozen games I have picked up used that I haven't gotten to play yet, but they were marked down enough I had to have them to try them as soon as I am back console playing.
Now I am stuck back on a PC, and I am currently playing Dawn of War 2 for my achievement fixes. Luckily, I liked the first game enough that I really WANTED to play this edition. Unfortunately, I suck at the game, so now I am trying to find other PC exclusive titles that give gamerscore, just so I don't double up when I get my console fixed.
I have used my gamertag since it was a 'handle' in the dark ages of BBS forums. I picked it out when I had a Commodore 64. I have just pretty much kept it around since then. I spelled it with the numeral '0' in the center thinking I was being cool, and have managed to cause more confusion with it than I ever thought possible.
When it's warm around here my video gaming interests wane. I keep a pass to the Akron Zoo handy, and travel around seeing other zoos. I have a Myspace page packed with zoo pictures, and don't have a Facebook page because I am too lazy to repost all those pics. I also like to tabletop game, and I own way too many Warhammer 40k minis, and even more Battletech 'mechs. I'm a decent painter, but it takes me a god awful long time to get units done. Most important, I am dating a woman with two children. Sadly, she isn't much of a gamer. This has given me a yard to work in, which I do enthusiastically, which gives her flower beds, that she loves enthusiastically.
Now, considering I DON"T usually draw attention to myself in forums (I am very apt to say stupid things), I think I have run on long enough.
