The reviews are looking good (So far). I'm ready mack and slash it up once I finish the last mission of SRIV. I'm pretty interested to see what the soundtrack is like.
Edit: Achievements seem to play out like DMC with the exception of "Gigalo" related ones. Cause we all know Dante is crap with the ladies.

Repost. So the reviews polarizing...similar to Deadly Premonition. They are split between awesome and terrible. IGN Italy and IGN for example give night and day reviews (9 / 5). Eurogamer Germany gave a 9 while Eurogamer US gave it a 5 and so on and so forth. Destructoid seems to have the most coherent review of a 7/10. While most of these can be attributed to some critics "Not getting" Suda and his whacky style I can't help but to become more intrigued. Ill definitely be reviewing this very soon myself.
Edit: The most common factor in all the reviews - So perverted it would make the most sordid DOA fan blush. Obviously it's critically acclaimed in Japan already

I knew this would be a factor when one of the unlockables ended up being X-Ray glasses for you to wear on the dating segments.

Just finished installing; am about to start mine.
Art book is nice, small size-wise but lots of pages, high-gloss, sharp artwork. Haven't listened to soundtrack yet.
There is an error with the DLC code, it says "There is a problem with the offer associated with this code.", developer has already tweeted that they are working with MS Live team to get the codes properly activated.
So far the developer & publisher logos are nice. I'm 0:52 in to the game so far and enjoying the hell out of it. 8/10 would buy and install again.

WTF bro there is no multiplayer content, it's a typical Suda51 all single-player game. You need to hurry up and get it tonight, the online is going to be dead by the end of the week brah.

The great thing is I haven't noticed any collectibles yet.
The art style & visuals are awesome. It feels wacky & weird like a Suda51 game should yet it isn't just another super absurd one like Lollipop Chainsaw or Shadows of the Damned.
At least, not yet, anyway. We'll see when I get farther in.
At the very beginning it seemed like maybe it was going to be a really serious, artsy noir story but then you walk in to a house with stairways going all Escher and a chick whose head turns upside down and then monster parts start coming out of her. Awesome.
The music is cool so far too, a mix of some laid back jazz and ambient electronic stuff. Sets up the atmosphere nicely.

Protips:
The first Mondo girl, Natalia, likes gum and really likes perfume.
The second Mondo girl, golden geisha/top performer mission doesn't like gum or perfume, but she likes the lunar necklace and really likes the single rose.
