I just want to clear up some confusion... I don't think that's not entirely true. The iPhone doesn't have flash... at least not yet, in order to preserve battery life. Flash is rumored to be included in a software update, but I don't understand why Apple wouldn't have included it from the start.

I'm pretty confident MPEG-4 is often used on the web.
