I am far from new here, though I can't remember how long I have been around the site... Anyone know? Anyway, I want the badge and make 2 of my friends work harder since I know they will be here shortly. So here goes:
I am an admitted achievement fanatic, as evidenced by my gamerscore. I am a biology teaching student, concentrating in Biochemistry/Cellular and Molecular Biology... BCMB for short. I recently moved from Nashville, TN (although I attended school in Knoxville) to an airstrip in a very small town in the SC upstate. I have recently reconnected with a few members of the site and hope to be more involved in the site.
On to gaming... I play almost everything, from big blockbusters to foreign unknowns, across many genres, except sports. Other than Xbox, I still break out my 8, 16, and 64 bit Nintendo systems as well as play tabletop card and board games. I am also involved in the tabletop RPG, Pathfinder. My favorite modern boardgame is Defenders of the Realm and my favorite modern card game is Munchkin.
Now for other random stuff! I enjoy the American Le mans series racing and plan to attend the Petit Le mans this October. I have a beautiful shy female pure bred Siberian Husky and a loving energetic coonhound mutt male with a family of 5 Manx cats (half bobcat) and one random cat found in the mailbox, of which only one Manx and the mailbox cat have tails. I like science fiction books and movies, especially classics. I don't watch tv much, especially since I don't have cable, but occasionally catch Big Bang Theory. I attend several conventions each year, mostly small science fiction and gaming, including DragonCon and this year will be my first year to attend GenCon but also the first time in 5 years that I won't attend the Chicago Stargate convention.
