Nope, you can NEVER pay too much for a pair of good headphones. They'll make you infinitely better at any game with surround sound.

Well these are different headphones but SkullCandies are amazing for a month then they break, 20$ for a pair but the 808 in them are amazing and I constantly have my Ipod on

I have X31's. They work fine with me. Too bad I don't play that piss stain of a game called Modern Warfare 2 where they might be useful

I have X31's and I use them for night gaming... Don't want to wake up the girl with gunshots.. God she'd kill me.
I'm not really a competitive online FPSer so I mainly use mine for night time gaming and music on my computer...... And Rosetta Stone

I have an old pair of X1's that still work smooth as silk and I've had them for about a year. The funney thing is I got them at Best Buy for the same price as a Microsoft Wireless Headset....$60 was a steal

I have TB X4's, the older wireless ones, and I like them a lot. Sound scales well, chat sounds good, nice bass, my only complaint is batteries not lasting very long.
They really are awesome for games and movies that have surround channels--you can hear everything well but certain things stick out the way they're supposed to.

I recently got the Tritton's AX Pro, and let me tell you, they're worth the extra money.
I got these wired because I was fed up with replacing batteries every so often (I had TB's X3 before). And with the wireless one I had to be at a certain distance from the TV to actually get the best sound.
I noticed the difference on my second run of Assassin's Creed II. I'm actually listening to sounds in the background that I did not hear before.
I have yet yo try these with the PS3 and movies.

I love my turtle beach headsets, but I'm tired of always replacing batteries.
