You don't get anything for maxing it out. I know that one for sure. I have 3 or 4 of them maxed and didn't get anything. I think you stop getting points once you get gold, not 100% sure though.

Gold to Onyx: 2000Cr
Onyx to Max: 2500Cr
Once it gets maxed out, that's it, no points, no love.

Umm. Well here's a tip from the master. Load up level 8 (Alexandria or something) the one where you fly around. Turn on Mythic, Thunderstorm, Catch, the Luck one, and two others, I personally leave cloud and black eye OFF. Then just fly around on Heroic in the freaking plane and wreak havoc on the banshees and phantoms. You have to score 40-50k but you don't have to finish the level. I never die once and I've topped over 100k easily doing that. Just end game when you are done and challenge unlocked. I never have a problem with those...
Heroic plus 6 skulls = 1200 points per banshee and 8000+ per phantom, if you stay above the phantom you will never get hit by it
