from what i've read dragon age has some sort of glitched achievements.
as a completionist, i 'aint touching that lol.

@ magic, no MMOs for me please. i'd prefer something solo.
@ austin, i'm thinking old school. my PC probably couldn't handle anything like fallout 3.
plus i've done pretty much everything you can with it in vanilla form lol.

The glitched Achievements in Dragon Age: Origins are fixed now, especially for new players. They mainly had to do with people completing Achievement goals for the DLC but the 'cheevs wouldn't unlock.

Bioware patched it relatively quickly but there are still some folks that got all of the Achievements right away and they are still glitched. New players are fine.

If you're willing to put in at least 35 hours, completing DA:O isn't too difficult and it's a really good, fun RPG.

This RPG is pretty good as well, but I don't know how hard the Achievements are:

Damn i wished i picked up on this before meta said they were fixed...but

EA...Glitched achievements.....Noooooo Really? Anyone else see a pattern...
(Fixed though, THAT is unusual)

Oh and Guild wars(PC Game) Is commonly called an MMO, but I think(Wikipedia) officially it is called a CORPG (Competitive Online).
And being much of a solo artist myself i can tell you that most of that gae can be done solo...only one story line mission in particular sticks out in my head as Un-solo-able

LOLOLOLOL how sad is it that I beat you to completing it when you had it done before I even bought it??? You poor little oger!!!!

But seriously, this is one of the easiest games I've ever completed, and it's hella fun!

Hmmm, if it's THAT easy to complete maybe I'll just rent it... Would it be a good rental with the purchase of the DLC, or should I just buy it?

Go to the Live Marketplace, under X-Box Originals and download Fable. There's no chievos but it's so much better than Fable II. I still played the shit out of Fable II but was immensely disappointed with the co-op and the ending. Plus, after over 50 hours of playing time all I felt like was a fuckin landlord.

I've also played the shit out of Borderlands but have to strongly disagree about it being a RPG. The only semblance of RPG is the customization of your abilities. In my book an RPG needs some kinda storyline and there's very little of it. I was also disappointed with the ending as well.

The online co-op is fun as hell though.

it's there. it's easy to miss, and it's nothing too special, but it's there.

@Lady Evol, yea I do love that sort of thing when it comes to games and story lines, so there's a great chance I'll probably just end up buying it and playing the hell out of it. I'm working on Borderlands right now and then its DLC, only problem is right when I get into it I always seem to have to get off and do something else, so it's taking forever to finish...

@Noah and IRiSH, I was hoping for a good ending for Borderlands, I just got the vault key piece in New Haven and I'm only level 30, so I don't know how much else I still have to do but I would think a great deal seeing as how I only have like 500 gs in it. I can see where the ending is going though, all these missions get pretty monotonous... I can say, I'm fed up with the damn scavenger hunts, the guns usually blow ass and I've ALWAYS just found better weapons, and there's always that one damn piece hidden away so well...

Fable 2 blew never played Fable 1 but i'm sure its a ton better!
Borderlands ok not really an RPG in my book, just an open world FPS, with upgradab;e skills.
I'll throw Tales of Vespira out there as a good'n, i'm still up in the air on Magna Carta 2 its not bad it just not outstanding it handled like FF12 with less to do!

I agree. If Borderlands is an RPG, seems like Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 become RPGs and COD4 is one (I mean it had a great story, and perks are customization!). I haven't played MW2, so I don't know about that...

They're throwing the tag RPG onto everything nowadays to give it a depth it doesn't have in reality, I think.

I would consider an RPG an open world roamer with levels and character customization. If Fallout counts, why wouldn't Borderlands? It's an open world, has character customization, and if you want you can just roam around killing everything without doing any of the story at all... :confused:

This reminded me of my other gripe with Borderlands. Having to run through the same missions over again after the vault. It's kinda like Groundhog Day except it's not funny.
