Thank you. Clear and exact, now I know what everyone is talking about.

whoooo. finally got the Master's Seal achievement! (fully develop all characters). took many many hours of grinding the Adamantoise. then i talked to Setsuna and found out that even though i've leveled and upgraded all but one weapon for every character (need the ones from Gilgamesh Inc Shop), AND the fact that i have 3 million Gil saved up, i may still need to do more Gil grinding by fighting the Adamantoise even MORE to get Platinum Ingots
oh well, at least now this major part is finished. now i'm on to 5 starring all the C'ieth Missions and mop up the Adamant Will achievement. hopefully when i see that 920/1000, it will give me the inspiration to throw away all rational thought and torture myself to get Treasure Hunter xD

I just beat this today. Good game. I beat it with mediocre low level weapons and nobody had their job class maxed out. I'm looking forward to concentrating on that now though.

just maxed out all roles a few days ago and i'm gonna start doing the C'ieth missions soon, but a few questions on getting 5 stars on the missions:
is there a list of the target times required to get 5 stars?
using base weapons at level 1 raises the chances of getting 5 stars?
should i bother just beating the missions without worrying about ratings, getting the Gold Hourglass(?) accessory from the final mission, then go back? or should i concentrate on getting 5 stars on the first go?

Using base lvl 1 weapons and accessories will give you a lot more time for getting 5 stars, the rest Setsuna will have to answer for you

ah, gotcha. didn't know base accessories affect it too. when you say "base lvl 1" however, that just means the non upgraded non leveled version of an accessory right? so if i were to equip Warrior Wristbands (STR+100) and Socerer's Marks (MAG+100), that's fine, correct?
and also, i don't wanna bother him about FFXIII anymore lol.

I finally beat the game, watched the ending (hmmm, set-up for a future FF?) and now I am starting the second half of the game, the hunts. Any advice on 5 staring?

congrats on beating the game and IMO, i think it's a complete ending and doesn't really open up for anything else...
as for advice on 5 starring. max out all roles for every character first, that makes things a lot easier so you'll have an easier time getting the 5 star off the bat instead of having to redo missions. use unleveled weapons, they raise the target time for 5 stars.

###Spoiler Alert####
I was referring to Fang + Vanille perhaps waking up 1000 years after this game as a set-up for a future FF.

that's not a problem at all. just buy everyone's starting weapons again, they cost less than 5000 gil a piece

Cie'th Mission 64 - How do you beat this bastard? I have tried numerous times + he just wipes me off of the board. I will get a good ways into the fight + just as I think I have the advantage - HA!! - he takes my team out. I am using Lightning, Fang, Snow. All roles maxed, all carrying 3rd tier weapons. GRRRR!!

He's susceptible to poison. You need Lightning as party leader so you can make it stick easy, then continue debuffing him. Sen-Sen-Sen paradigm is required for when he goes gangster mode (that all-out fire attack that I can't remember to save my life). I would also suggest equipping physical and magical resistant accessories to all of your characters if possible.
I wish I could help you more but it's been quite a while since I've played. Check YouTube and see if there are any good guides for that specific mission.
