The first person I ever met was a lady by the name of Barbera Mandrell, she was a famous country singer in the 80's and 90's I believe. I never knew who she was (and kind of still dont) but my mom and dad knew who she was, I was real little.
Then I started DJ'in YEEEEEEARS later. Me and the guys I worked with went to the homecoming for Duke University where Kanye West, John Legend, and Dialated Peoples were performing. They needed a keyboard and we told them they could use one of oursso we took it up there and just hung out. It was pretty soon before John Legend blew up, I only heard of the guy but never saw what he looked like and I ended up talking to him for a good hour that day. REALLY cool down to earth guy. I also met Kanye West and his big ass white bald bodyguard that day but Dialated Peoples never showed up because there was a family emergency or something like that.
I also met Ludacris at the NC State homecoming, we weren't DJ'ing that but we helped set everything up..COOL ASS guy, but he is short as hell.
My proudest achievement while dj'ing is lucking out and DJ'ing the after party for a G-Unit concert in Fayetteville. Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, 50 Cent, was there and Em and Dre were there just to be on the road with them. I imagine it's because the group was more or less new and they were keeping a hold on them making sure they weren't going to do anything stupid. The guy that they had with them to dj the party got really sick and I knew the club owner who gave me a call.
About a year later I set up everything for a Young Buck concert in Elizabeth City or some shit like that, so that was cool.
