I met Linkin Park at a movie theatre I worked at right before the Meteora album came out (they saw Anger Management). I met Andrew W.K. at the Warped Tour a few years back, Gabriel Iglesas at the Comic Strip in El Paso, TX (like they have said, incredibly great guy) and a few other smaller bands from random shows.

hmm i saw the dali lama once in NYC. Mark Echo, and Tomas Kalnoky (Catch 22 +Streetlight Manifesto singer) are both from my town and i've met them. thats about it i think... i've met some people who are famous in MY world. but not in the real world
EDIT: i've also met Mia Hamm (there's actually famous women athletes! how weird!) because she is also from my town. Same with the US world cup's goalie, can't remember his name but he's from the town right next door and i've met him

Ive met a lot of people while playing sports against them. The biggest I can think of off the top of my head are: Barry Sanders (in his 1st ever game at RB, he was a DB at Wichita North), played against Keenan McCardell and Sam Adams in football in Houston, and played against Shaq (S.A Cole HS) and Greg Ostertag while in HS also. Dang Im old...lol

Playing against Ostertag is like playing against a not-so-wide wall. Great stability, but crappy defense, lol.

Isn't Tera normally a girl's name? But really, you've got a nice rack on you.
That's where all my college money went to!

Ive met like almost all of the 2008 Detroit Tigers. My old man got some special tour tickets, and it was on a game day. We were walked around Comerica Park by some high end employee in the Tigers organization. He took us into the locker room and all the players were just sitting around eating and watching Golf on like a 2,000 inch flat screen.
I also met Michael Vick at a Lions game back in.... (idk the exact date but it was before he was locked up). I was at the tunnel where all the players come out and, I saw him and threw my hand out there and slapped it. I cried. (Im a really really really really really BIG Falcons fan. Regardless of Vick... but you know at the time things were different). But i guess a high five from a former favorite player doesnt really count as a meet.

Wayman Tisdale (RIP) came to my front door when he was playing for the Kings
Byron Scott and Greg Anthony at the Sacramento Airport (SUPER nice guys)
Sat next to Reggie Miller on a flight from L.A. to Salt Lake City
Kentucky Basketball coach John Calipari (jerk) and Suns GM Steve Kerr (super nice) at the Nike VIP Store
Matt Barnes (Lakers)
Lots of other athletes, but no one of importance.
