I'm not Meta, but I can definitely say it could use some tweaking. I'll give you an example. I'll think out an entire strategy on how to beat my opponent in like one turn and the computer makes me tap the wrong land. Deck building would be so awesome, but then the game would end up turning into MTGO. I like the addition of the Archenemy campaign, but it's hard as hell unless you have human allies. The computer is retarded....and that's another thing. The AI could use a lot of improvement. I've got it set to Planeswalker and I'm still trashing every deck I play against (save Archenemy).

One of the biggest things that would be great for those who already play magic: make your own deck. The prebuilt ones are nice, they work well, but I would really like to take a few cards of each deck and make my own.

The matchmaking system is fine, but when you switch your archenemy campaign to online co-op, it automatically makes it public, so I booted out several people. I've also run into a point where only the computer is playing cards and the game loses sync with the other human player. Kind of a bummer and I don't believe it has to do with connection, I'd say its a bit glitchy.

I've also already griped about the AI when its on your team....not exactly the best magic players. Not horrible, but a human that you can talk to would trump them easily. Plus in archenemy there are cards that the archenemy gets that do various things, sometimes if the computer friendly decides how those cards play out it can screw you.

I also don't like the interface when you have two people on the same xbox playing archenemy. It doesn't split the screen and since you can only "sit" at one spot and only highlight one card at a time, two people have a hard time playing within the time limits. Its like there are two remotes that only control one highlighter and that highlighter has to play for two people. I suppose it would be okay if you had two people, one thinking it out while the other plays, then switch, but when you play both it sucks

Which also leads me into my last gripe: the timer. I understand for matches where you have people that you don't know, but I didn't see an option to turn off the timer, or extend it so you had more time to think.

Wow, griped a lot. But I'm still loving the game...lol It really is fun. I just wish those few things had been addressed.

Yeah it does.

On another note, I cannot for the life of me beat Jace. His Illusion creatures beat the crap out of me every time. Anyone have any tips on how to beat this guy (5th in the main campaign).

I'd just use the Simic ramp deck bro. He can pop little dudes out throughout the game, but when you lay a Simic Sky Swallower, that fool's eyes pop out. That, or use Tezzeret's deck. I can't believe that an artifact deck is still beastly, but it truly is. Those seem to be the best two becks to play, IMO.

Yeah, it does. But you can't stop the timer if you or someone else doesn't play a card. So if you are debating about playing a card the timer can count down and you can even miss out on your attack phase.....even if you were in the first main phase....

now thats a shame. when i play the actual game ive been known to sit on my turn for like 5-10 minutes before making a move depending on if i am in serious mode like its my elf deck vs my boys goblin deck. i cant just be laying down a wellwisher if i think hes got a goblin sharpshooter laying in wait lol

This thread alone has already convinced me to grab this game ASAP.

I have a question, though-- can you guys still play the old MtG XBLA game with no problems?

And if so, were any of you in the recent beta MS did?

Ever since installing the original beta update, when I try to play the old MtG game it says there is a 4mb download to do, so I grab that, and then it resets and says there is an update for the game but it could not be found and returns to the dashboard.

This happened on my Nemesis Mask tag, I've even deleted and redownloaded the old game multiple times and it always loops into infinite downloads.

That is half the reason I was so glad yesterday to get access to a new game that won't be unplayable.

You have to redownload everything for the game Meta. Including the DLC. The actual one's if you bought them, the free one's if that's all you got when they were out.

ANyone know if this is staying at 800 points? Or will it go up?

well i finally hopped on this game and have all but a few of the single player cheevos and im LOVING it. The timing is not that bad as long as you are paying attention. The thing i find most annoying is during online arch enemy when someone casts a spell that requires targets you are stuck sitting there with your thumb up your ass while they think for 10 minutes lol. You dont miss turns as long as you pay attention to what part of the turn it is. All in all this has been the best arcade buy all year IMO.
