I received it as a gift for christmas, and it is a great and fun game. Its kind of hard playing, while laying down, but it is the best I can do while I am off my feet from my back injury.
I recommend it to everyone!
I think I like the Grandmaster flash set the best lol.

I picked it up with Christmas money too, and LOVE it. I'd have to say the Grandmaster Flash and DJ Shadow sets are my favorite so far. Just starting to get good with the cross-fader, but it's easily the best part of the controller (in my opinion) since it gives you (what feels like) more control of the actual mixing of songs.
All that said however.... I'm actually considering taking it back and using the money to pick up a handful of used games, as I can already tell I'm getting over the "gimmick" of DJ Hero and would rather have a few different games to play.
All in all, I think it's a great game, but I have a feeling once I finish playing all the tracks, I won't be picking it up as much anymore.

I loved it I ran through it so fast and have not gone back to do the expert yet. DJ Hero is by far my favorite song a mix of foreigners juke box hero and I don't rememnber the dj who adds in the dj hero lyrics.

I have it and like it a lot. I blew through all the tracks pretty quickly and then went back and 5*'d everything on Medium. My favourites are Universal Mind Control vs Jeep Ass Gutter and that Noisia song at the end, that thing is brutal.
It was also awesome because I found online games even at 4am and the net code is so solid that I was able to play it over satellite no problem. I love doing 1 song setlist of Vanilla Ice vs Paula Abdul online, I can pretty much full combo it every time now and it's such an absurd mix.
I have started to slowly make my way through 5*ing setlists on Hard, and I'm trying to decide if I want to sell the game & controller to grab some waffles or hold on to it in case one of my roommates gets a controller for it or they come out with a new game sooner than expected...
+edit+ Nevermind, I just called GameStop and they said they pay $35 for both the game and turntable controller. Fuck that nonsense, I'll just hold on to it

I really want this game, but have to keep my priorities in order right now. Tax time this is a must. Only question any big difference between the renegade edition and the regular? Oh and in case I ever get injured at work, is this easy to play missing fingers? I am a cutter ya know.
There are 3 buttons on the "record" platter, and then one button, a dial and the crossfader on the other unit. You can arrange them turntable-left or -right, as well as playing with the buttons on the inside or outside of the "record" with a menu option.
So, basically, you need 3 consecutive digits on one hand and any two digits on the other to slide the crossfader. You emo fuck.
The Renegade Edition has a slightly fancier turntable controller (some metal bits here and there), a hardshell case that converts to a stand for the turntable, and a double CD pack with music from Jay-Z and Eminem. The game itself is no different and has no extra tracks to play.
