No real secret it is pretty much luck based although there is a higher probability if you play the most difficult level.

I think you can add yourself on bungie.net, or bug Snapple about it.
Does anyone want to knock out the "3 clan member strike" today? I will come on online at your convenience. Anytime today / tomorrow morning.
And if people want to try a raid or heroic weekly strike, for the coins, maybe there's a good time once a week where people can get on.
This is what I have now. Should be able to upgrade armor by the weekend

False, it's all RNG based, you have the same chance of getting a legendary killing a level 2 Dreg as you do killing a level 28 Knight.

If you guys wouldn't mind doing the lower level strike a few times, as I'm only a 21 right now, I'd be down for that.

I have read that as well; however my gameplay experience does not support this. Maybe its just my lack of luck but I have had a much better experience on the Queen and Tiger strikes.
Again this has been my experience only

I'm down for it.

On point.
A chest randomly dropped me a rare (blue) ship. "The Princess". Can't buy blue ships. The description says "knights not needed". Going along with my female Warlock lvl27, I think I'll slow down my play, next month, and ramp up when the DLC hits. I do wish there was more story, and single player, but like Killer Instinct, if they keep expanding this, for years to come-- I'll be on board.

"Quite content damsel", I have found like 4 rare ship plans in chests, most on the moon while doing a few chest farms,I think its a better way to get them,"laughing behind your back","fangs of nyxx" "Corina" "Eon tresspass", pretty good finds considering you would have to pay upwards of 3-5 grand for a rare ship at the tower.
Found out last night there is a glimmer cap, they only let you carry 25k then every glimmer beyond that is locked out.
Also a tip for people that hate the crucible but want the gear/weapons, you can earn rep/marks by turning in your resources to the quartermaster of the crucible, same as the vanguard stuard, 50 of any material gets you 5marks and 100 rep.
