Braxton Miller bout gave the game away and the defense looked lost without Christian Bryant out there but they made the plays when they needed em and got the W.

Games like this are going to give me ulcers. Carlos Hyde is such a beast! I guess the spread was Northwestern plus 6. That last play really F'd some A's! lol

The Badgers play LSU Saturday night...ugh. Do you guys prefer for your team to start with a couple cream puffs or get a real test early so you can see how good or bad they really are? Also over/under 2.5 conference wins for Rutgers?

Although it's comforting to see your team prepare before huge clashes, overall I think it's more powerful of a statement to go out right away and play a big game. OSU played Texas Tech and WSU 2 of the first 3 weeks to open their natty run in 2002. Then in '05 and '06, they played Texas and those were epic games. Also, if you lose to a good school early, it's much easier to recover throughout the year as your team gets better. Of course, if you get blown out, there really isn't any difference either way. As long as Bucky doesn't get thrashed, and I don't think they will, I think this is a good way for them to start the year.
As for Rutgers. They will win 2 games this year. Neither will be a conference opponent.

Sorry bro. They'll beat Howard and they SHOULD beat Tulane. Their other 2 nonconference games are on the road against superior teams. In conference, they don't draw Purdue this year, who will challenge them for worst team in conference. They play Penn State at home, but I don't see them winning that game. They also play Indiana at home, but they'll need to score 60+ to beat the Hoosiers. Then the last one they have a shot at winning is @Maryland.
They have no shot at beating *ichigan, OSU, Nebraska, Wisky or MSU.
If everything falls their way, 5-7 (3-5) at best. The B1G bloggers, 3 have them at 4-8 and the other two have them 3-9. I don't honestly believe they'll win any games beside Howard and Tulane.

I like the early big games for sure, Les Miles is gonna make your badgers eat some grass though.

Wisconsin's offensive strength is LSU's defensive weakness. LSU has a lot of offensive firepower to replace. Any growing pains on offense will be magnified by this being the first week of the season. It would be an upset if Wisky wins, but it wouldn't be as shocking as the all-things-SEC folks would have you believe.
