Your strength of schedule argument is such bullshit as I pointed out in the Super Bowl thread. Just about every team in the SEC scheduled a Division 1-A (FBS) school this year so don't try to pull that card again.
what was the hardest game you had last year....wisconsin?...which you lost 31-18....who else did you play? Penn State was horrible, Iowa wasn't any good...Michigan was bad...Miami? Marshall, ohio, illinois, indiana, purdue..give me a break...your schedule is a powderpuff one..just like the coming year...you should play alabama, florida, mississippi state, ole miss, Auburn, just to name a few ...play them all year....yeah LSU had a couple easy games...but not 3/4 of their schedule....your schedule is a joke and you and all these other Ohio state fans know it...
Yes, the SEC West was stacked this year but Ole Miss sucks and so did 4 of the 6 teams in the SEC East. How bout Vandy, Kentucky, Tennessee and Georgia? Even Florida had it's worst season in years, losing 5 games. I'll admit the SEC is a stronger conference overall but every conference has some shitty teams. It's easy for SEC fans to say why doesn't Big Ten teams play more SEC teams. Well that can go both ways. You don't see any SEC teams going out of their way to come up north and play non-conference games either. Why would they when they can schedule the likes of Chattanooga, McNeese State or Tennessee Tech to beat up on at home down south?

Lol, we had this conversation earlier in the Super Bowl thread. I don't know how much you are up with OSU future scheduling Irish but we have Tennessee home and home in 2018-2019 and Georgia home and home in 2020 and 2021. So whenever we get to those years we will at least have an SEC game on our schedule.
Like I said in the other thread, the real problem is we schedule our "marquee" non-conference games like 10 years ahead. Miami was scheduled when they were good
....and unfortunately the Big 10 has been the suck the past few years
(except for OSU and Wisconsin)

yeah every conference has weak teams...but other than Ohio State...who else is good in the Big ten?...maybe Wisconsin.....think about it...i would pick Ole Miss against any other team in your conference...and you're right...Ole Miss sucked this year..but i would put them up against Iowa, Michigan, and anyone other than Ohio State this year...ok maybe not Wisconsin..but still 2 teams that are good

Okay, now you're just being an SEC fan.
Ole Miss would not have beat any other team in the Big 10, they were shit this year. I'll give you Purdue, Minnesota and Indiana, but the other teams probably would beat them. Okay okay, I'm sure they could have whipped Michigan too.
I mean they beat who? A super weak C-USA team, a Sun-Belt team, an MWC team and another weak SEC team. They even lost to Vandy this year (who incidentally lost to Northwestern).
Until they introduce the playoff system all we can do is hypothesize all this crap. Hopefully when OSU plays Georgia and Tennessee they will be decent SEC teams so we can finally figure this out in......8 years

yeah but i'll take a weak SEC team over a weak Big Ten team any day....and i would LOVE a playoff system as would all of us...but right now, the conferences just don't compare..i'm not sure the Big ten is even the second best conference in college football right now...big 12 and pac-10

Well if you look at it, I think its close. Based on head to head competition the Big 10 went 2-1 in bowl games against the Big 12 (and against higher rated teams), so I would say we edge them out based on that reason. The Big
I would say the Pac 10 edges out the Big 10 but only slightly. If you look at it they really only had 2 teams - Oregon and Stanford. USC finished what, 8-5 and was third in the conference? But Oregon was undefeated and Stanford just looked like a great team, its a shame that when you turn a college program around like Harbaugh it pretty much means you leave for more money, but hey money is why we don't have a playoff system to begin with. Then add the nice upset by Washington over Nebraska and the argument is complete.
So I would say (of the AQ conferences) at the moment its
SEC
Pac 10
Big 10
Big 12
ACC
Big East
If you included some of the non-AQ teams I'm sure the MWC and the WAC beat out the ACC and Big East (remember Boise beat VT).
I agree with your viewpoint Melissa, but most if not all college players feel the pinch at one point or another, and most grin and bear it until they are away from college(or just don't get caught.)
I will also agree that the penalty is harsh, North Carolina was slated for great things this year but that cheating scandal rocked us to the core, and we lost just about every key role player on both sides of the ball. Until the rule is changed though it's still a rule and must be followed. At least they didn't get a death sentence like poor SMU did.

I couldn't agree more. The only purpose these suspensions served was to deflect the criticism the NCAA was taking over their lack of action in the Cam Newton investigation. It was just the NCAA flexing their muscles and leveling some ridiculous suspensions that don't fit the "infractions".
@Sour - I'm not pissed... yet. But you have developed a habit of posting some unnecessary shit like that pic.

Who knows what this list will look like in 2011 and 2012 with tons of teams moving all over in the next 2 years
