Just beat the game. I liked it a lot, but the ending confused me a little.
I beat the game tonight and I agree, the ending is quite confusing. But here is my take on it. Massive spoilers ahead, proceed with caution.
Spoiler: Click here to toggle spoilerI think maybe you are a relative of Desmond in an animus reliving desmonds memories. Everything was fine until he had to relive the memory of killing the girl at the end and it sent him into shock. Hence the voice halfway through the credits that didn't belong to anyone else that was in the room. I'd say it is either desmonds son in another animus reliving his fathers memories or maybe its desmond being forced to relive his own memories. It kinda like he's in a dream inside a dream. The next spoiler talks about the subject 16 video.
Spoiler: Click here to toggle spoilerAlso, after seeing the subject 16 video, I think it may be desmond reliving his own memories. I think subject 16 may either have been someone random from his family or maybe even his son if that makes sense. Either way, after watching the video I am even more confused about the ending.
I enjoyed the hell out of the single player. Still have some achievements to mop up. I was running around with 12 assassin recruits all at level 10. Let me tell you, when you call in six level 10, the wreck everyone in sight. I haven't played the mp yet, but I watched my buddy play for a little bit and it looks like it should be fun.

Spoiler: Click here to toggle spoilerif im correct, i read somehwere the voice at the end is supposedly subject 16's voice, talking to you. now i wasnt paying attention per se, so honestly i cant recall that...unless youre talkin about whoever it was that said "hes going into shock!" in which case i still dont know who said it but i atleast know what youre talking about. i really wasnt paying attention through most of the credits because they were extremely long and boring to me
altho honestly i think he was just thrown into shock because of that goddess lady controlling him. im sure that would really take a toll on anyone, having someone take over your body and force you to do something you dont want to do and youre sitting there trying to restrain w/ everything you can. i mean idk that for sure, its just my guess tho...idrk

Spoiler: Click here to toggle spoilerThe other thing I am wondering. The next Assassins Creed, will it continue with Ezio? Assassins Creed 1 was Altair, 2 was Ezio, Brotherhood was Ezio since it was a continuation of 2. Will 3 follow suit and switch characters? It would make sense to switch characters. But with the way this one ended, I think it could be possible they find a way to stick with Ezio.
The other idea I was thinking of is that AC3 could possibly take place mostly in the present day.
Argghhhh....... I have never had a video game ending make me think this damn much.

Trust me, your gonna want to beat the game before you toggle the spoilers. Otherwise your gonna be even more confused. Its better to enjoy this game without spoilers since it is a great game.

Yea, I didn't toggle anything. I can't wait to play it though! Hope it's harder than ACII to complete though.

don't count on it. im in love with this game, but its really got very few differences between itself and AC2. but the few differences there are make all the difference

How can you tell the difference between the buildings that you've already renovated and the ones that are still closed?
one has a pee-pee and the other ones dont

hahahaha Adrian
Durtie, the closed ones will be shoddy looking and have a sign that says... something in Italian.
The open ones have a clerk.
On your Select button map, the closed ones will be dim as long as you have the viewpoint near them
