Personally I don't care if people boost for achievements, boosting for a leaderboard spot (like in CoD) is complete bullshit though and I don't put up with that type of shit. But like on an achievment based website I don't care, I've offered to help people boost, although I've only done it a few times and have yet to recieve help on any achievment so far.
Does this make me a better gamer than a guy that boosts all the time? No. Does it show I have more dedication when we both have 800/1000 on a certain game? Not necessarily. Does it mean I had more fun getting my 800? Probably. It all comes down to what the person wants to get out of the game, I play games to have fun, some people play for ahievments, how you go about those doing one of those two is your choice.

p.s. one quick note on your Stallion reference...you know there have been topics for a while now about him having more then 1 person playing on his ID...I have personally gamed with him a few times in Ninety Nine Nights 2 doing the MP and the first time we played he didnt have a deep southern draw as he did the 2nd time we played
Whether or not he has more than one person play on his account he is at least legitimately gaining achievements.
Now with that being said and he is the 1st to reach 1,000,000 gamerscore and it becomes apparent that there were people other then him playing on his account does it make it as impressive still? Should it have and * after it like the home run record in baseball? LOL

In my opinion records shouldn't have astericks (sp?). Barry Bonds hit 756 homers to break Hammerin Hank's record. I'm not a Barry fan but it takes a lot more than roids to hit a home run, hell it takes a lot of skill to even make contact one in ten strikes against a major league pitcher, let along get enough of the ball to send it flying.
I feel the same about this Stallion fellow. Sure he might not have done all of it but he obviously did a good chunk of it, or at least someone did. The record is for the highest GS on a gamercard not by one person so who cares how he got it, he still got it.

If you look at my games played list you will see that a good majority of my gamerpoints came from single player games. I didn't have good enough internet to play online till 2 years ago and I got my firt 50k without internet at all. I also play alot of crap games mostly consisting of family friendly/kids games I love em. To me gamerpoints are fun to get but my life doesn't revolve around getting a specific achievement but for the fun of the game. I guess my gamercard does reflect how "good" a gamer I am, to be totally honest I could care less what some other gamers think of me or the games I play. This is just my opinion.

This. I'm 40 years old with a wife, three kids, a 65-70 hr week job, a 40 acre hobby farm to look after, and several acres of lawn to keep up with. Other folks' opinions on my 'video game skill' is pretty low on my list of cares While I certainly enjoy chasing achievements, it's not what my life revolves around. I just play to have fun.

Not sure if I'd count gamertag sharing as legit. If I did that, I'd have a shit ton more GS than I do now. Tons of non USA games, region specific games, ect.

How is it not legit? Even if he has separate people pass around one tag as long as they are actually playing the games and earning achievements it is still by technical terms legitimate. If there isn't any gamesaving going on then I see no reason to not call it legitimate.

Blatantly against MS policy = not legit in my book. Other people don't use my tag, not even my wife or my son. Not saying anyone does or does not do this, but if they do pass around a tag its not legit.....at least in my book.
As a note I don't feel that you having a buddy (who is say at your house) help you with achievements, but if someone stays atop the leaderboards simply because there is a crew of people constantly playing, thats BS.
