We all could all work together. Our site has multiple Admins that can post information. I just like this site to much to see what it looks like on the social networks.

That's why spreading the word on the social side is so important. Get the word out so more users would want to be a part of the community. Plus there are way more worse apps than what one based on this site would be.

That's the thing though apps cost money to make, as well as know how to do so. I don't know anyone that is a regular on the site that may have some insight on what to do. Also as stated before how many regular members would get a use from this. I for one don't have a cellphone that can handle apps so I wouldn't care whether an app is made or not. This is where someone who does would have to share their opinion, Im just saying that I don't think this needs to be done.
I DO have a cellphone that can handle apps (iPhone) and I wouldn't even get this. I use the internet to access the site so what's the point of an app? There isn't one.

If someone wants to do this, create some mock ups for XBA members to preview and comment on, they would be welcome to. Once a good working version of FB stuff and/or mobile app was created, I am sure Jackson would have no problem with sanctioning it as "official".
Also, unless one of the other mods wanted to volunteer, I would probably volunteer this person to be the one to maintain it too. I don't know about raising money specifically for this, though, as everything else done on and for this site has been done just for the fun of it, to meet needs, and on a volunteer basis. Unless there are extensive licensing fees or something needed to put the app up for download, I don't see why we would need to get money involved.
I personally don't see a need for something like this, but I don't use mobile apps. People that do, like Zykers and others, would probably be more active in the community since they use mobile devices and don't do the PC stuff as much.

You could look at the possibility of new members. Search Xbox on your app market. Not to much pops up. Now if others were to do the same search and come across an Xbox America app, that would promote the site and encourage new membership. You could even charge a .99 to download the app and that would help Jackson with the monthly cost of the upkeep of the servers.

We have over 20,000 people on this site that have registered. If you don't believe me check xboxamerica.com/statistics, but we only have about 30-40 active members and maybe half of that who post daily. People know about the site.

How many people are on Xbox Live? I can guarantee you that 20,000 is a very small fraction in comparison to active Live accounts. Most of these 20k probably signed up for the site to get their gamercard and forgot about the site. I know I did when I first signed up. I see Zyker's dream and I agree with it. There is such amazing potential for this site if it were to grow. And yes, I remember our previous discussions on the kind of immature conduct that some new members might bring in the mix, but good can come out of it as well.

How many people out of all the xbox live accounts out there just play for achievements and or want to know about their leaderboard stats? I'd say about 20,000.

Have you visited http://www.xbox360achievements.org ? I was there when that site began, and now look at it. Those individuals that frequent that site play for achievements and there is of course a leaderboard section.

I think people are taking the App thing a little to far. Apps/Widgets are a newer form of getting your word out. But FB is completely free and takes very little time to log-in and post something every day/week/month. Why even have a FB page for people to "like" if you don't ever post information on it? Why have a twitter account if the last post was on Nov 7?
That was my point to begin with. I my line of work, we have soldiers that we can email, attempt to call on their phones and even give them reminders in person, but they forget. Since I took over our Batalion's FB page and started putting requirements for drill, important dates for dinners and posting pictures of our achievements we have gained over 600 members who actively post and share their thoughts. Most of them being people who don't even belong to our unit, but want to be apart of it to an extent.

I was simply just trying to add something worth discussing. Nothing more. Just putting it out there. My bad.
