I enjoy experiencing all game content and achievements help me do this. If it weren't for some achievements then I might miss something I would have never knew about. The game score is a bonus and kinda helps identify my experience/reputation with Xbox Live, and obviously the games I play on Xbox Live.
When I see people with high game scores it shows me their appreciation and love for gaming--I like that.

Agreed. Also the Achievements, to me, add to the game in showing what you can still accomplish if you set your sights on it. Like the games that have multiple endings. Spider-man Web of Shadows is one. 4 Achievements for 4 endings.

i can tell u my gamestop has a copy bc i was going to buy it when i was in the summer tourney but got hannah montanah instead. so they are in the US but i guess not everywhere. as for walmart i could have sworn i seen it before but that was awhile ago.
EDIT: also gamestop's website blows ass. they dont have a lot of games on their site when you search. new and used games dont get on there. especially crappier titles.

I try not to get games that I know I wont get close to 1k'ing even if I want them. I have a huge stack of games just sitting on my dresser waiting to get played

That's one thing that the PS3 is definitely missing, you don't hear a noise when trophy's unlock.
I do hate that MicroSuck uses the same noise for any kind of notification though.

THAT is the only thing i hate. that f'n noise. i dont even waffle a game for acheivements all the much, i usually play games i want to play and love to play, but i STILL hear the noise in real life and i usually look down or around (down because when im gaming my eyes kinda shift down from the mid of the screen to the bottom where the achievement is) and it IRKS the FOOL out of me lol i do love achievements tho, dont get me wrong. they help you think of things youd have never thought to do in games (like in gta, doing 5 barrel rolls? wheelie on a motorcycle for over 500 feet? i woulda never thought to do those, i woulda put in my cheats and blown up everything xD)

Until you become a huge achievement whore and then hear it constantly....when you are playing games and don't get an achievement, randomly throughout the day, oh and my favorite.....in my dreams.
But then I hate achievements so I guess I'm the wrong person to ask
