Your Opinion on Gamerscore

When I join a new Xbox 360 forum I like to make similar posts to this one because I love seeing the variety people have and what they say about this. I want to know what your opinion is on gamerscore. Do you like it, hate it, don't care about it? Share your opinions here.
Personally, gamerscore can be addicting in some games where you get an achievement for 100 and you know your that much closer to the next milestone you have, but achievements are awarding enough for me. I would rather it show how much achievements we have attained instead of gamerscore gained.

i attain anything willing to give and am proud of both of GS and achievements earned

I like getting gamerscore and achievements as well, anything that I can get to unlock and get more of. Lol. I like competing with friends on gamerscore, but with myself on achievements.

I would never have done half of what I did in GTA IV if it weren't for achievements.

Back on the PS2, once GTA SA came out that was all I played until the Xbox 360 came out. I had 3 memory cards for my PS2 all with the same copied save of GTA SA on them just incase. Funny thing is, I beat the game ALL over again and play it every day now on my Xbox 360 on games on demand =]

i love achievements and gamerscore. but i wont let it factor in which games i play, or wont play, for the most part. theres a few of my friends who wont play a game regardless of how good it may be because they know they wont be able to get a 100% on it. i say fuck that. if i did i wouldnt be able to play any of the guitar hero or rockband games, which i love, because i will never be able to complete those.
although i have bought a game for relatively easy gamerscore, that being king kong and NFS most wanted, which i found dirt cheap. but i will not spend 71 dollars on My Horse and Me Too like these douches did for easy gamerscore.

I think gamerscore is cool. But when people play trash games, that they have no interest in, just for 1000 GS....then it starts to get dumb IMO. Gamerscore to me, is a way to motivate you to play games you like. Like for me, i LOVED CoD:MW1, the achievements were gettable, so i got them. But i also love NHL 10.....but the achievements are like...to much to do. And im not gonna waste my time boosting them when i can just enjoy the core game.
