Your Favorite Comedians of All Time

I like to make people laugh but find it hard to laugh myself. Only certain guys "do it"

for me. I like a certain, quirky type of comedy that some people may find stupid, but I find extremely amusing. I like those comedians who have made the transition from stand-up to big screen, but sadly, most of them have passed away.

Anywho, list your favorites. It's healthy to laugh right! :confused:

Mine are:

1. Chris Farley - love his over the top, obnoxious style.
2. John Candy - great lovable funny guy. his voice was even funny!
3. Adam Sandler - Stupid humor cracks my 455 up!
4. Jim Carrey - weird Humor FTW!
5. Idk.....Bill Murray's dry humor is funny sometimes but I also like Chevy Chase's akward style. It's a tie for 5th!

I agree with what you already have here.

I would like to add Dane Cook, even though alot of peeps hate him.

And Joe Rogan. Yes, he's the Fear Factor guy, and the UFC guy, and he is also a stand up comic.

I thoroughly enjoyed Mitch Hedberg. Not that he did anything new, but the entire package was excellent to me.

Dane Cook's early stuff cracked me up because it was referential + mega enthusiasm, but I haven't caught his recent material. He was great in that movie where he was each girls' last fling before marriage.

Hell yes! Mitch Hedberg was one of the funniest fuckers I ever saw do stand-up.

"I like swiss cheese, cause it's the only cheese you can take a bite out of and miss. Somebody asked me if I had cheese on my sandwich and I said sometimes."

I loved Dave Chappelle's stand-up as well. Eddie Murphy was the shit before he went all PG. RAW & Delirious are 2 of the best stand-up movies ever.
But the all-time best was Richard Pryor. Live on the Sunset Strip is classic!

adam sandler is without a doubt my favorite.
you all NEED to check out "don't mess with the zohan"
better than that "big daddy" and "spanglish" crap by far.

other than that, i dunno. chris farley was good. john candy was decent. jim carrey was never anything too special. bill murray was great in the movies he played in. uhhhh robin williams... he was okay for awhile, but then he let it get to his head.

Agreed on all counts. It sucks when you have to start paying the bills with sweat checks instead of blood checks but a gentleman only has so much blood to give before he gets angry and starts donating acid to the banks :growl:

Gabriel Iglesias was genuinely funny in the one stand-up I've seen him do, I'll keep an eye out for him.
