Definitely not a must read and not because of my political opinion. I refuse to read anything that is clearly not being objective. This article was not written to accurately portray John McCain or his character. The intention here is only to motivate voters to vote for Obama. The whole article is soaked in bias.

I'm undecided, and if I had to vote right now, I'd end up voting for Obama but not because of bullshit like this. This is the sort of shit that steers the political campaigns away from the issues and into the realm of superficial appearances.

i agree that neither can be trusted (they're politicians) but McCain isn't well liked by the republicans or democrats. he has his own views and i agree with most of them,....obama just seems evil to me, i trust him the least, at least McCain served his country and for that i applaud him.

Sorry boobs, I can tell right now you didn't read this article. It is a serious account of Senator McCain's early years before Vietnam and his rise to political power. The people interviewed are his direct peers and the people that know him best using direct quotes and their permission. I have heard pieces of this stuff in other news magazines but never with it given in a time line that I could follow. Most of this stuff is public record so you can think of it as you will.

I did not post this in the political forum as a joke. Your response to it seems a bit strong and out of character. I will assume that not everything on Xba has to be a Joke and that there can be a objective opinion given. If parts of this article are not correct I would sincerely like to know about it. The point of this taking away from issues is not valid in this case as McCain has built his whole campaign ON his character and judgment.

Oh I know, you don't think I would read something that long with out it being interesting do you. Hehehe!!! The big thing about it is that it's based on the truth, and in his case it ain't pretty. As the old saying goes..."The truth hurts"

Since 99.9% of the retards that are going to vote for him will never believe any of this or just don't want to, so he still stands a chance. The republican base in this country just makes me sick. They'll blindly follow whoever is carrying their torch no matter who or what kind of scuz ball it is. Reality doesn't seem to be and issue with most of them.

If you cannot see the bias, you're being blinded by your own opinions. I won't deny the validity of any of the quotations, but this article would not produce anywhere near the same the same images and feelings if the author hadn't eloquently strung them together to lead the reader to his own conclusions.

I don't know what gave you the idea that I thought this was a joke. I was discrediting the article because of it's extreme bias and subjectivity. It's actually quite in my character to speak out against the promotion of subjective media with underlying motives.

If you're referring to the profanity, that too is very much in my character. I view profanity as a useful tool for showing emphasis.

The same can be said for either side. I wish there was some alternative to the two-party system so allegiances could be discarded, but the rise of an independent or third party seems impossible.

No sweat Boobs, I see the bias but can see through it. There is still a lot of info there, and the time line gave a new perspective to some other things I had read in years past. If the story was about Obama I still would have read it. In fact have read several lately. And as far as the cursing goes...KNOCK IT THE HELL OFF..JK...LOL!!!!!
