I just got a VGA HD AV cable, mostly so I can bring my pc monitor over friends' when we have a Halo get together so we have 3 tvs instead of 2. I've got the picture working but my dilemma is that I don't know how to get the sound working with my computer speakers. I don't want to use any fancy sound but just my JBL computer speakers. The VGA HD AV cable came with a little adapter to turn the red and white cables into one... mystery cable. I wouldn't know what to do with that as my computer speakers have a similar looking cable of their own. Any idea if there's any specific adapter I can buy for sound?

I'm really bad with most of this hardware stuff.

From what I can tell, you want to just run those Red / White Audio Cables into an existing set of PC Speakers, but the PC speakers have that same Male 1/8" end on them.

Well, one thing you want to make sure is that your PC speakers are amped, because I don't think the Xbox 360 would be sending out the audio signal amped, so your PC speakers need to do the amping (Plugging into the wall).

Next, you can look at an adaptor like this:

This should be a female to female adaptor for that headphone style sized jack that the Red / White cables are going down to.

I tried to look for a Red / White to Female Headphone style jack, but could not find one. (Didn't look very long) But, there may be one of those out there that could keep from having to use so many adaptors.

One other option would be to buy an adaptor that would allow you to listen to it on headphones. Same adaptor as above, or if they are Phone Style headphones, there are different adaptors for those.

Sorry, did that sound confusing? You basically just need to change either the RCA cables into a Female end or the Headphone Male adaptor end into a female end so your PC speakers can play sound for you. :)
